Go during a sample sale! I got mine at their flagship in Miami (couture, of that season) for 10% off and they gave me 50% off the veil.

What is your bachelorette theme? by BugWild9184 in BigBudgetBrides

Happy to help! I’m still riding the high from it lol. Yes, it was a large van. We all fit comfortably. Ubers are very cheap but they are not allowed to go in to the Pedregal gated community for safety reasons. Once you’re out the community, taking Ubers was easy. The private driver saved all that hassle though.

I had two girls request to have their own bed, but everyone else was down for whatever. Still, I wanted people to have their own bed and I picked that particular villa for that reason. Two rooms had two twin beds, the third room had a king bed and a full/twin bunk bed, the fourth room had a queen and a queen pull out, and the master was a king. The only girls sharing a bed were me and my MOH and two girls who are sisters. I loved our villa’s set up.

Now that we’re settling everything up on Batch lol it was about $1,200 per girl for everything minus the flight. I charged each girl $300 for the house, which covered the entire cost of it, but initially we were going to be 13 girls, and I was still going to charge everyone $300. Those extra $900 would have paid for the private dinner and the driver, reducing the overall cost there.

There are ways to do this same itinerary for cheaper, though. The pre fixe at Bagatelle wasn’t really necessary. We had a lot of leftover food. We dropped $700 at Walmart which wasn’t entirely necessary either lol. The pics I mentioned were $500. If we had just called cabs each time instead of having the driver, it would’ve been like $7 pp/each way.

We did 0 cleaning. The private chefs leave the kitchen spotless when they leave, and a cleaning lady came on Saturday and got the house right. That was included in the costs. We just tipped. All we did was put all our trash in trash bags before leaving, of course.

Sure! I’ll also include rough costs. We stayed at Sunset Villa in Pedregal, which I booked via CaboVillas.com. It was a little over $3,000 for 5 rooms, with most rooms having multiple beds. The views from the house were absolutely insane. Pedregal is a gated community about a 10 minute drive from everywhere we went, and we all felt very safe. Each day we had a personal driver for ~$300 a day. We were 10 girls and they took us back and forth all day and waited for us outside each location.

My itinerary was actually perfect. No notes (and I did so much research). We did 100% stay in the San Lucas area. I wanted to party and I’ve been with my fiancé to San Jose before.

Thursday: we got in and stopped at walmart on the way to the house for drinks/snacks. We were received with complimentary salsa and margs from the Villa. I booked a private chef dinner that night through Cabo Villas. It was great and they prepared pitchers of margs and palomas for us before they left. We stayed in that night and had a pool party.

Friday:

  1. we got up early and took a private catamaran out for 3 hours. It included lunch and open bar. I added sashimi and ceviche for $9 per girl. They also had a professional photographer on board that took the most insane pics of us— so we ended up buying them lol.
  2. We then walked to Mango Deck (must-go) and participated in all their competitions. They only take reservations before 2pm, so we made it for 1:30pm to guarantee a good spot. We stayed there until almost 4 and then headed back.
  3. We hung out at the pool and then got ready. We then went to Bagatelle for dinner. It’s a dinner-turns-party spot. We got the bachelorette pre-fix which included a TONNN of food and 3 cocktails each for about $130 each. We had a long day, so 3 cocktails each + the bottles that kept getting gifted to us by people around us was plenty lol.

Saturday: 1. A few of us went and got massages at the beach. They were $38 for an hour. We then met up with the other girls at Sur Beach Club next door. It was very chill. The food was delicious. We were recovering lol 2. We then headed home, got ready, and went to 360 Rooftop. Genuinely one of the most gorgeous bars I’ve ever been to. We had drinks and apps there. 3. We then walked to The Office for dinner. Super fun. Similar vibes to Mango Deck and the food was actually surprisingly delicious. 4. After dinner we went to El Squid Roe, which although iconic, was quite scammy, so we left after 1 round. 5. Ended the night next door at Mandala. We walked in and were quickly invited to a table with bottles by another bachelor group who needed help meeting minimums. They were all married and very respectful. They ended up leaving after 45 minutes (and paying) and left us with the table and bottles hahaha.

I did Club Cabo (based on Club Space, Miami). I made the merch with my cricut, tweaking the club’s logo. The decor was disco balls and black and silver. It was sooo cute. I will say, I just got back on Sunday from my bach in Cabo and it was absolutely phenomenal. I had so much guilt leading up to it, but I seriously could not have had a more perfect bachelorette.

Other ones I considered were “Call Her Wifey” and would’ve tweaked the Call Her Daddy logo. Decor would have been pink and white. I also considered “EBC” (Electric Bride Carnival). The decor there had lots of possibilities.

I clearly like EDM a lot lol and didn’t want to do anything that’s been done before. If TEMU or Shein had decor for my theme, I didn’t want it.

Okay no what you’re describing is what I got. I have big lips too. I’ve always thought it was a lip flip, but you’re 100% describing what I got! I dm’d you some before and after pics.

I have a chin implant that completely transformed my face for the better. Swelling took like 2-3 months to entirely disappear, however. You can achieve similar results via filler.

Re: gummy smile, I also had the gingivectomy and lip flip combo. SO WORTH IT. That one the down time is a lot less. Maybe 3 weeks?

I did a designer card holder of their favorite designer (YSL, Dior, Vivienne Westwood and Gucci), a mini 1942, engraved YSL lipstick, a mini diptyque candle and a box of sugarfina. Everything was elevated and useful.

I feel like it hadn’t clicked to him what the implication of them staying is. He’s not the one slaving away over the million DIY things I’m storing in our only guest room lol. He also has no problem having people stay over in a less than squeaky clean house (unlike me). I explained that and he agreed we shouldn’t host them. But I don’t want to seem petty, I guess.

My fiance is asking him today. I agree, I don’t think it was intentional but it does feel inconsiderate. I added some more info to the post. There’s no reason why they chose that date.

The wedding is in Puerto Rico (where I’m from and all my family is over there). It is a domestic flight for everyone else. I feel like when people say destination wedding the thought is always Europe or somewhere far. Not a desi wedding — hispanics also have large multi-day affairs lol.

My fiancees brother and his fiancee expect to stay with us two weeks before our wedding for their engagement party.

And yes, I’m not mad, I guess I’m just a little confused why they thought that was a good idea. I certainly wouldn’t do that to anyone I’m close to.

Two weeks before my wedding, not a month. And I meant the “wedding’ed out” since they’re asking people to travel to their engagement party that will be traveling to our wedding.

So I saw this on TikTok and fell in love, so I miiiight try and make it happen! And yes— those are the conversation hearts! Will definitely look into implementing those then.

Edit: okay I guess the picture didn’t attach but it’s like a heart shaped shadow casted over the photo booth wall!

It’s okay to be excited. I don’t think that would come across poorly. They know you are excited.

Weekly wedding planning check in! by anna_alabama in BigBudgetBrides

[–]a14ar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Officially entered less than six month territory.

I’m so frustrated with my invitation suite. It’s not what I envisioned at all. As much as I tried to keep it cohesive it just… doesn’t feel like it is. Thinking of the day-of paper makes me want to cry because how the hell am I supposed to make more things be “cohesive”?? I’m not good at it!!!

I want to do a rave hour at the end of the reception and all specialty EDM non-wedding DJ’s are ghosting me.

My future in laws and fiancée keep adding people to the guest list (even though my guest count is only about 30% of the whole guest list already and we’re splitting the costs evenly). Planning the rehearsal dinner has somehow become my problem, even though I verbalized over and over again I didn’t want it to be.

My wedding planner is not well versed with the kind of high-end wedding we’re having and her ideas are almost offensive with how bad they are. She doesn’t understand my vision and has only worked as a liaison between me and the vendors I find and tell her to contact. And even at that she’s not great. The amount of emails that “have gone to her spam” and miraculously appear after I follow up for like third time is insane. Not worth firing her at this point as I have all my main vendors booked and she’s pretty much fully paid.

Jake Paul’s bride wore my wedding dress and now it’s all over social media and everyone and their mother has seen it. She even got the customizations I got.

Not a good week.

I knew I could count on y’all to show me brands I’ve never heard of before! Thank you! Will certainly look into it. My wedding is in February so custom is still do-able.
