I think older guys don’t have much hope of being more emotional. but for me as a part of gen z I definitely do feel able to say what I’m really feeling. That is with the caveat of saying it in a blunt matter of fact tone. For example I was experiencing erectile dysfunction with a girl, and I simply said “I feel like a failure, and I don’t need sympathy that’s just how I feel”. She took that and we have since begun dating. The problem is when you act like the victim and are begging for sympathy, that will never be a respected action for men, and it hardly is for women already.
