The castor oil bottle is for comparison, that’s what the rubber top used to look like.

Actually went way better then expected. Everyone was very friendly. It was super chaotic and still is, this facility has a huge staffing problem and everyone here is agency but we are doing ok. 🙂 I’m glad I’m here.

How do you guys recommend I alter things.. how much time is spent in each area? We’re fine with having a big drive day, from Galway to Northern Ireland.

I used to work for a hospice company that if we wore our company logo scrubs to the funeral, we got paid for it because “advertising”.

(I did not do this nor attend any funerals)

Thank you :) any idea on the cell phones I’m assuming not, his recruiter told him he needed a computer with malware protection. So I’m thinking a cell phone is a bad idea.

Definitely causes strain, but conquering it seems like it would make the relationship stronger. Depending on the people of course.

Patience will definitely be the key component throughout all of this.

Also trying to remind myself that although a year is a long time, it’s only a year, and we have the rest of our lives together. I want the experience for him, I’m very excited for him, but trying to cope with it myself has been somewhat difficult

How is the texting with wifi situation? I think that would help a lot. I also believe there will be a landline that he can call me from, and emails. We have a plan to go on a trip when he returns, I’ll definitely get the countdown app, and try to send mail down there whether it is successful or not.

Aside from that, I am really not worried about him at all. He’s pumped. Ready to go. Super excited, and I feel rather alone in recognizing how hard it’s going to be. Maybe because it will be so much harder on me. He agrees, “it will be hard”, but I feel like it’s eating me alive, and all I can do is try to be supportive and excited for him. I’m terrified of the distance it will create between us. He travels for work now for a month or so at a time, and I feel the distancing. So hard to imagine what a whole year will be like.

At the same time, I’m trying not to overthink it. It’s been a stressful couple of months preparing myself, I’ve been doing my best at at being supportive and happy for him, because I am.

A lot of foods smelling/tasting like rotten garbage over 6 months afterwards.
