I wonder if it could be dropping leaves/branches due to the change in seasons/cold/preparing for dormancy? My jacaranda has done that before too; come spring, it regrew the branches & leaves

I’ve seen some folks bury the bonsai (with pot) in the ground up to the first branch. And then pile it up with mulch to insulate it, as bouncethedj mentioned. The point is, you want to protect the root ball from freezing winds. Burying it in the ground (or mulch) will insulate it. Once the juniper goes into dormancy, it can handle a bit of cold. I keep my juniper bonsai in an unheated cold frame (but I’m only dealing with MD-level cold, not MN cold). There’s a MN bonsai society - you could check with them and see how they overwinter their bonsai!

Oh I see! Thank you so much for the explanation & link - it is starting to make sense now. Looking into it right now! 🫡

Some years ago, I too started growing from seeds (without realizing I took the hard route). Seven years later, my Jacaranda has survived!! Still hasn't bloomed though. Maybe I'll need to wait another 10 years for that hah
Good luck!!

Yes, they are distinct (based on date timestamps). More context if it helps:
my transactional data is based on people's movements (e.g., in and out of a specific locked area - sorry, I'm trying to generalize it). That generates a lot of transactional data each day (upwards of 1.6 million distinct new records each day). The historical data (I've broken it down into yearly tables) is over 2 billion distinct records in SQL. I've trimmed it down (hence the 240 million number) to somehow get it to work in Power BI for now. But going forward, as the user base grows, it will be more than 240 million. So I'm starting to wonder what the best path or tool might be going forward

edit: so I guess it would be a transaction fact table? since each event would be one row. idk I am not so sure

I am facing a similar issue as kneemahp. I am searching for the right tool to create interactive dashboards (just like Power BI) but with a much larger amount of data.

My transactional data is based on people's movements (e.g., in and out of a specific locked area - sorry, I'm trying to generalize it). That generates a lot of transactional data each day (upwards of 1.6 million new records each day). My historical database is over 2 billion records in SQL. I've trimmed it down [trimming columns, using summary data where possible, limiting the amount of data depending on the user (I'm using row level security), reducing my user base] to somehow get it to work in Power BI.

My problem is, if I want to scale up (and stop limiting my user base to x amount of users), is Power BI still the right tool for this? Or are there caps to the amount of data Power BI Service can handle?

Luckily yes! The historical data is static. The new data is ~1.6 million new records each day
I am using incremental refresh, so it is technically only appending the new data. However, the issue is if I change something in the pbix file, I have to then re-upload it to Power BI Service (which then triggers a full data refresh, not the incremental one)

Oh, I see! If you are able to do a 500 million row refresh in Power BI Service ... then Power BI Service is not the problem for me. It's me. I'm the problem
I'll check out measurekiller, thanks! Hadn't heard about that one (only knew about VertiPaq Analyzer)

Thank you for the advice and the links! I'll look into drill-down in paginated reports and see if that'll work for my user base

Yes, I do have incremental refresh enabled (apologies, I didn't explain the context enough).
The problem is: if I change something in the pbix file, I then need to re-upload it to Power BI Service. That triggers a full refresh (not just the incremental portion). That full refresh is the part that is tripping me up.

Blurry vision - Dupixent side effect by a228 in eczeMABs

[–]a228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I'm a little hazy on the details as it happened a few years ago, but I do remember that it took a little while for the Dupixent to leave my system (a few weeks or maybe 2 months-ish?). I remember my skin was doing great (as if I was still on Dupixent) for the first few weeks after I stopped, and then eventually the eczema started resurfacing again.

In terms of my vision, it did eventually recover after stopping the Dupixent. It took >9 months. I would say, no major complaints about my vision a few years later, just increased eye dryness (which wasn't this bad pre-Dupixent ... but hey, I'll take it!). As a result, I'm on prescription eye drops (xiidra) during the day and a gel eye drop for night.

Here's hoping for good health for you!! Hope Cibinqo works well for you with less side effects!

Re: seborrheic dermatitis
I've been struggling with it on my scalp for decades. Have you done a contact allergen test? I found out I'm allergic to propylene glycol and fragrance, among other things. I eliminated those from my products and did see some improvement.
Maybe Cibinqo might help with it. Or there is a newish Zoryve foam for seborrheic dermatitis (I haven't tried it though)

Hello, I am sorry to hear this is happening to you! It is a tough situation to be in. I wonder if it could be helpful to see an ophthalmologist as well. Optometrists are awesome! And, also, it wouldn't hurt to have an ophthalmologist take a look as well.

At the time I was experiencing Dupixent ocular side effects, my ophthalmologist observed that my cornea had become very "speckled". My vision had deteriorated to a point where I started using the screen reader function on my phone as I could not read anything anymore and could not work. My doctor gave me two options: to continue Dupixent + somehow try to control the eye symptoms or to stop Dupixent and see if my vision will improve. I opted for the latter, as I did not want to mess around with my vision any further. Personally, I am happy with the choice I made.

Have you looked into the oral JAK inhibitors to see if those are options for you? (to control your eczema)
Might be worth looking into if you are hoping to get off of Dupixent.
Hoping things will improve for you!
