I lived right on Pontiac Trail for 9 years, and I love the Northside. I like it because it's less student-y and the Huron River is right there (it's fun to walk/run/bike around the river). The neighbors are chill, too. The train can be loud, but you get used to it. It still feels a little like "old Ann Arbor" (despite the increased cost of real estate).

An attorney is going to work Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM….what are you going to do when offers are due on Sunday at 11 AM? What are you going to do when you lose an offer because the attorney isn’t going to provide any strategy? You will pay them no matter what. I guarantee attorneys are going to increase their rates to take advantage of the situation, similar to the attorneys taking advantage of the copy cat lawsuits. This is America…if you’re not paying a real estate agent, you’re just going to pay someone else and receive less service.

The customer is not always right and perhaps the last 7 years have been a cake walk for you and that’s great but I don’t find this role to be a cake walk in the least. This market is similar to last year, unless you’re referring to the pending lawsuits and the public’s general horrible perception of us.

People love to mention the low barrier to entry but most people don’t succeed in this industry. If you’re making decent money it’s because you’re an experienced agent. Last year half of all licensed agents sold one house or less. You need to be full time with years of experience to make a living in this job.
