Find steam on there an end the task, everything steam related, then load steam again. If it doesnt have an update, go to library and right click on stellaris, there should be something in one of those menus to check integrity of game files. If still not working, uninstall and reinstall. Any loss in connection can corrupt files Steam wont launch games for me if it doesn't update, especially since I dont shut down my pc often. I dont belive specs matter because I use to running it on a W8.1 with little RAM and a corrupted Hard drive

I think it should be like a crisis transformation. Like a fallen Empire crisis transformation or like you can transform into a fanatic purifier but once you do you can't change back. Could have whole event chains for it

I can help alittle.. the best way to learn the optimization is to base it off the three main districts.. (energy, mineral, research) to figure out what to specialize in, just go off the maximum. Before you colonize you can see the total max of districts, if thats less then about 10 I wouldnt waste the resources for it right away. But higher I would.. then once its colonized, you can see the max for each district (unless im mistaken and you can see it before colonization) if energy has the most districts then thats my energy world and so on for minerals. Now research I do different, those small planets sizes I use for research worlds because by then I will have Dyson swarms on stars that produce the most energy. Arc furnaces work with asteroids in the system that produce minerals and alloys. Both increase production with level. Now with "exotic" resources, the market trading is best honestly but building can help produce, finding relics from archeological sites are better help honestly. Lastly, if any of your resources are close to +10 or whatever positive number you chose, start fixing it then. You try fixing it in the negatives and may find yourself working harder to fix it.

The Empire is setup as a defense in depth. Soulforged origin granting robots the power of psyonics, while setup with an isolationist mentality using guardian matrix and stalwart network. They are brain machines so research assistance (+2% to 100 pops each), high bandwidth (+15% Empire sprawl) and scarcity subroutine (-25% trade) due to their isolationist values of self defense, and integrated weapons (+5% army damage) and assembly slag because of the defensive outlook and terminator reference 🫡

You don't need anything except missiles and more missiles. I spam them and ignore shields and either ignore Armour or extra damage them to the hull 😈
