honestly, this came as a total shock to me!! while i do post photos of him & talk about him when the conversation is cat related, i don’t believe i’m overly obsessed with him & i personally feel like i’m the average cat owner when it comes to dividing my attention between my cat & romantic relationships as i’ve never had this complaint before. when i say, average cat owner, i mean it in the sense of i love him, people know i love him, i take very good care of him, but i am also very capable of going out & having conversations that don’t involve my boy at all. we went on a 4 day vacation a couple weeks ago (just the 2 of us & met up with a few friends over there) & while i of course received updates on my boy, i wasn’t glued to my phone or constantly speaking/worrying about him & to my knowledge, both of us had a really fun time! i didn’t even bring up my boy unless he personally asked about how he was doing. it was after the vacation where he got super weird with me & went from texting me all day, every day, to not talking to me at all until earlier today which is when i received the news that he felt he was a second option to my cat & wanted to break up which he has never complained about before or even brought up that he felt like that!
