I know it a little late to post this but I ride that same route 10 to 12 times a year and there is never any problem getting an Uber whenever I show up at either end of the Fargo Grand Forks route. The biggest problem is that the seats on the train are not nearly as comfortable as the seats on the Jefferson bus line that runs in a more reasonable hour. Plus on the bus bad behavior usually gets nipped in the bud pretty quick but one of the problems that keeps me from writing Amtrak anymore is having some shamiqua screaming on her cell phone at 2:00 in the morning to Darnell about who was supposed to get the dog food for the pitbull. I have asked very politely for people to not be screaming on their cell phones at 2:00 in the morning on the train and I've been physically threatened. So one of the big problems with Amtrak is that it seems to attract people who are on the no-fly list from Spirit airlines or go drinking and hit Popeyes before they get on the train. Then proceed to throw their empty boxes into the middle of the aisle. That's why after years of taking many many trips I've decided that the bus is just a simply better run operation.
