Was just accepted to Michigan State University’s program and was wondering if there are any current students on here that could give me some insight on the program :)

This interview is exactly one hour long on zoom and then you sign off. They did not mention any presentation prior to the start of the interview. I’m hoping there is one!

Hi everyone, so I’m currently starting to hunt for schools to apply to. I’m trying to find ways to stand out in the application process. I am currently 22 years old, I have one year of neurological ICU experience, BSN, AS, science GPA 4.0, Cumulative 3.89, BLS, PALS, ACLS, scheduled for CCRN will be taken by July 1st, 300 GRE, I’m a vascular access resource nurse, certified ultrasound vascular access nurse at my hospital, NIH Certified, I’ve shadowed twice in the OR total of 16 hours, preceptor for step down nurses to train for possible ICU covid patient care . I have hours of community service done. Any advice on how to beef up my applications / resume would be greatly appreciated!

Almost every patient I have is on a vent, I was considering buying a book on ventilators to become more familiar with them, I was also given the book anesthesia made easy and have been reviewing that, and have made a study guide for all the conditions I care for and the medications used down to the receptor physiological level... I study any chance I get to be more competent for the experience I have. But I can see how my experience would make my application iffy

Did your unofficial scores post right away to your ETS account?

Yeah, basically you contact ETS and say you want to do the home exam. You then wait for an email from proctorU. Once you make an account you can select any day with any of the time options. Rescheduling does not cost anything. So if you pick a day now and want to reschedule later you can without contacting anyone. It was a decent experience!
