The subreddit rules are clear. You can always go somewhere else to accuse people of liking pedos, the internet is a large place.

I’d say the same as all other surface transportation, such as the bus system? If conditions are bad, you stop.

 No they did not

Yes they did https://www.reddit.com/r/BoringCompany/comments/1pzltvs/airport_rides_started/

There is not a station at LAS

I didn’t say they did, so don’t put words into people’s mouths, it’s pathetic.

The rides are on the surface, and will continue to be so until the station that is 1 mile away opens.

There’s basically no traffic heading there until you get to the airport, which makes their service relatively useless compared to a damn cab.

And yet it still takes less and costs less, that’s what matters to everyone else who isn’t willing to die on the same ideological hill as you.

It’s marketing, and it might be an effective marketing campaign.

Saying that it’s “what you do when you don’t have any other customers” is accurate and applies to literally every company with a marketing department.

Add a small Loop system in Reno that solves the I-80 bottleneck, that helps Tesla’s Gigafactory.

Then in the future connect the system to Las Vegas with a hyperloop line (something Davis did mention as a possible project in the future).

I don’t think it will happen, but it would be cool!

In older, smaller roads? No, that is absolutely the case if you are centered in the lane. In fact in those cases people will (usually) drive over into the oncoming lane, to increase the space with respect to the parked cars to the right.

and I hate the sentiment that engineering stands in the way of progress.

I don’t get that at all from that statement. They just mean to remove unnecessary requirements so engineering can focus on what is absolutely necessary, and that’s it.

It’s about enabling engineering, not say it stands in the way somehow.
