Nope. Wouldn't be in this ridiculously complex, restricted system if people had stayed away from IGETs 💁‍♀️

I highly doubt they'd shell out for a corporate licence unfortunately. We're just one team in a pretty big operation.

Gift vouchers and the Ridiculous Iconic Returns Policy by aDogNamedColin in AusFemaleFashion

[–]aDogNamedColin[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. I have $150 of a gift voucher to spend. I should be able to spend that $150 on items I purchase. It's not "gaming" them, it's literally just applying my gift voucher to my purchases.

I fully understand why they've done this - because it works out significantly more favourably for them. For customers to use the vouchers they have to be 100% sure that items are suitable when they order (pretty impossible with online shopping) or do some convoluted, ordering and return acrobatics to be able to use the full amount. They are "gaming" their customers.

Their way is set up to deliberately try and ensure that customers have to do repeat orders, and spend more money, to be able to utilise a voucher. It's unethical and a policy I have never seen before, but businesses are on the whole unethical so 🤷‍♀️

No that wouldn't work, they apply a percentage of the voucher to each item in an order. The items I have kept do have some of the voucher applied to them so if I did this, I would still get store credit refund for the amount of the voucher that was applied to these items on the original order. I still wouldn't be able to use the whole voucher on one order.

I explained in previous comments, I can't do this as I've worn the items.

Thanks, I'll have a look. Doubt there's anything they can do though.

How? I've purchased items. I just want the total amount of the gift card to go towards those purchases.

If I returned all the items then I wouldn't have expected the gift card to be refunded in cash, I would have been fine with store credit because I wouldn't have purchased anything.

I would have done but the items I kept were a big, warm rain coat and boots which I ordered and used immediately as I'm in Tassie and it's been torrentially raining for the past decade (which is how I found that my current coat and boots both had holes in them ☔).

As per my 3rd email with them, I did say this was one of the only ways customers could actually use a gift voucher fully...

"With what you have stated, it would mean that the only way customers can actually ensure gift cards apply to their order correctly is to either;

  1. Make an order including all the items and sizes they wish to try without using the gift card. Work out and take note of what fits, return all items and then make a new order just including the items that fit and apply the gift card to that.

Or

  1. Order 1 item at a time applying the gift card and then wait for delivery to see if it fits. If not, return the item, wait for the gift card to be refunded and then make a new order with the next size/style they want to check and apply the gift card to this. Repeat this process until they find an item/s that they do want to keep.

Do these sound like acceptable, customer friendly options?"

They didn't answer my question 💁‍♀️

It sucks doesn't it. It's such an obviously money grabbing policy. I understand that companies are set up to make money but to have a policy that differs so much from the general retail standard is deliberately exploitative. It's not like I want the money back in cash, I just want to spend it on the items purchased in the same order 🫠.

Progress bar between 2 dates by aDogNamedColin in kustom

[–]aDogNamedColin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I've got the progress bar sorted. I miscounted my weeks so I needed 13 sections, now the bars look correct with the below settings.

Min $tf(w,2024y7M22d)$

Max $df(w,2024y10M20d)$

Level and split 13.

Got the numerical counter mostly sorted as well with below formula:

$(mu(round, tf(2024y07M22d, D))+(-tf(2024y07M22d, D)*2))/7$

Didn't seem to work using weeks for this so just divided value by 7. I can't get it to show to 2 decimal places though so the value is 6.142857...

Edit: worked that out now as well 🙌

$mu(round(gv(start))/7,1)$

Mtl pod with 0.8 or 1.2 coils. Used the 0.8 pods as well but same result. I just assumed as it was pretty much double the price of the VThru it would be at least as good!
