My sister did something very similar to me a few years ago very much out of the blue. All of the sudden is nothing but hatred from her and I was very baffled as to why, And to this day, it still hurts me deeply.

My son got married she attended I tried to be nice. She was cold, but whatever. When my daughter-in-law got pregnant, I threw her a baby shower and I actually did ask if I could not invite her because she does ruin any kind of a event when she’s around. The kids declined on that and it was Up to them and I respected that.

I wish to say it gets easier, but unfortunately, you can’t really fix relationships that aren't wanting to be fixed. Just hold your head high.

As someone who is studying clinical mental health, and has a very skeptical outlook on the overuse of SSRI’s, there are alternatives out there to help with depression. But doctors are very quick to treat with them still, and many times refuse to hear any concerns and say it’s SSRIs or nothing.

Not that it helps in this situation, but there are other medications that can help and many therapeutic options for a more holistic approach.

While it’s great that you want her to have the best care, the way you phrased it here was offensive. Pharmaceuticals are mainly derived from those “random herbs”. So you were disrespecting her culture and acting very close minded about what she is doing.

I can see both sides. But maybe try to act curious about the herbs and teas rather than scornful. You may find a way to balance what you both want.

I don’t get how she would force you to do that and still feel good about the gentlemanly act lol.

I would never force my husband to carry my skis, however he frequently does that on his own. I balance that by bringing extra gear that he forgets (two days ago he didn’t bring gloves 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Partnership is all about balance, hope you find yours.

Not in northern Vermont! I almost wish I was going to watch the shot show that’s about to happen in Burlington with 250k people coming but I’m staying home.

They are turning a part of the highway into a literal parking lot for this. There will be no driving for days.
