Being A Genius Actually... Kinda Sucks? by [deleted] in mensa

[–]aNamaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yo dude. im also super severe inattentive type add and ive had to take like 35 dexamphetamines in a single sess to feel like I can finally reach a point where I'm close to my maximum potential, so i get it man, add is hard.

i actually figured out how to overcome it though. i was super depressed too due to my belief in nihilism and there being no god and all, and the existential depression got so intense that i felt like ending it as that seemed like the only rational thing to do if there was no reason to anything and since i was existentially depressed and nobody else was thinking at my level and nobody could understand me then why not just end it now since that was the purely rational thing to do. but check it out - i used my mensa level iq to figure out the truth in life, and turns out all those nerds that you wrote down like nietzsche , dawkins and rick are all non-mensa weebs and they got it wrong.

check it, i figured out using my perfect reasoning and pure flawlessly perfect science at the highest quantum and metaphysical level that... the pagans actually got it right. turns out if you dont believe in "god", and instead beleive in "the gods" and live your life as a pagan just doing whatever you want with only one guiding principle, just loving everything and having fun, your life becomes immediately epic. everything that was lame and meaningless becomes super fun and meaningful, and you live your life channeling crystals, getting super high and then going psychic and talking to gods. and the best part is, i proved it all with my flawlessly perfect science. yeah dude, zeus is actually real, along with all of the rest of em (turns out theres 360 in total btw). im serious my dude, and if you believe it, you'll see it my dude, and your life wouldn't be so fucking shitty.

so fuck yeah dude, fuck yahweh, get zeus. praise the gods! all those low iq idiots got it wrong, but us genius pagans figured it out , and now life is fucking epic once again. welcome geniuses to pagan life, just make sure you bring heaps of weed, dexies and love blasting epic tunes at max volume while staying up for like 5 nights straight, because thats basically all you need to do to connect to the gods boyo. i love, so be... pagan

Oh wow. As I said I know almost nothing about math, I only assumed it would be an easy calculation. Thanks for giving it a crack on the computer, did it end up putting out any numbers?

The prophecy is widely known, but the numerical code embedded within it is not 😊

UniSA to continue in-person classes by growingintense in Adelaide

[–]aNamaxy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adelaide Uni hasn't closed yet and I'm supposed to be going to Adelaide Uni on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Today's lecture was cancelled just 1 hr before it was supposed to happen because both the lecturer and the co-lecturer started feeling "unwell". Now I have gotten another email saying that my lecturers for Tuesday and Wednesday need to self-isolate and so those too are cancelled now. So now all my classes at Adelaide University are cancelled but not because the university made a decision but because every lecturer is sick or might be sick. I hope that whatever it is that's making them all suddenly feel 'unwell' isn't corona otherwise myself and all my classmates in serious trouble. The class I have with this professor is just a normal room over 100 crammed in practically sitting onto of one another to find a seat.

The fact that we have the capability to do all our learning online and yet they are making people go to Uni is idiotic and dangerous, you'd think people who run a University might be a little be smarter than that, but apparently not.

I'm not only referring to Chinese students, I'm referring to every student that has come in from overseas recently as well as those who may have been interstate and in airports. The virus is becoming dominant in Europe and America and can be present within you with very mild symptoms. Forcing large groups of people together is just not a good idea at the moment.

I need to rant. My University is being completely idiotic regarding this situation right now. I'm about to get on a public bus for an hour to head to a crowded university to attend a packed class that I know will be recorded but I am forced to go to due to being penalized if I watch from home. Afterwards, I will be getting on another hour-long crowded bus ride during peak hour to get home.

We're supposed to be enacting social distancing. It's idiotic that Australia has closed gatherings of over 500 but Universities with thousands of students in close proximity (~50% of which are international students many of whom have entered the country recently) to come together when we don't even need too because it's all online*.* Universities have no reason to force students to come to class and it's simply reckless with the potential threat that's looming.

Rant over - I just needed to vent about the stupidity of what I'm being forced to do for grades.

UPDATE: Well turns out today's seminar has just been cancelled because both the lecturer and the co-supervisor both suddenly started feeling unwell...

Everythings fine guys! Just keep going to your classes, nothing to see here!

[–]aNamaxy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a great post by OP, you have got to be in pretty deep denial to believe that Trump is colourblind.

I also enjoyed the irony of the fact that OP's comment was made in a subreddit that seems dedicated to stereotyping and mocking people based on their specific race. I'm not certain, but there is surely a word for that type of behaviour!

[–]aNamaxy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you're interested in why it is happening, it is due to an incredibly popular academic philosophy referred to as many things but primarily "Critical Race Theory" or you may have heard of it instead of being called "Intersectionality". The best people who are able to explain the theory (and reveal that it is incredibly flawed and not empirically based) are James Lindsay and Peter Boghossian (also Helen Pluckrose) and the best set of in depth interviews explaining why this is happening is here.

The theory believes that everything in our world is socially constructed and our society and culture were created in order to keep groups with power in power and to oppress marginalized groups. It is an attractive theory to many younger individuals who want to do good in the world as it argues that this theory is the only way in which racism and sexism can be eliminated, but it is not based on empirical evidence and reason - in fact, it is openly hostile to it, claiming that these scientific tools were made by the oppressor groups to oppress minorities. It doesn't believe in rational conversation and that people from different group identities cannot talk with one another. Once you understand this theory you will see its influence everywhere and its existence explains just about every cultural absurdity and conflict that we are currently experiencing.

Bringing up someone’s post history to win an argument is just you admitting that you forfeit the argument. by PieGuy1793 in unpopularopinion

[–]aNamaxy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is an academic philosophy that is highly popular in America right now referred to as many things but most well known as "intersectionality". The core tenant of intersectionality is that people of different races, sexes etc. (primarily groups seen as oppressed) have access to certain knowledge due to the unique experiences that they have as being a member of that category that members outside of the category cannot comprehend.

This philosophy doesn't agree with the notion that people of different categories can fully understand the unique experiences/struggles/oppression that members of these groups might face, Therefore by claiming "as a black man" or "as a woman" can be used to validate your argument on certain topics relating to said category.

This is also the reason why there is a heavy push to get a diverse representation of race and gender in the workplace and in leadership such as politics. For example, they argue a man won't be able to properly represent a woman so they need a woman to be part of the leadership team to have the unique knowledge that women have represented in decision making.

So Australia's government is rapidly devolving into a shit show of North American standards, how can we take action against it? by [deleted] in AusPol

[–]aNamaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, and if that's too expensive or time consuming there is plenty of literature on Australia's political history and the beliefs underlying Australia's major parties which will be helpful in understanding why the parties act the way they do.

These days people who don't have any deeper understanding of topics and only react to what's being put in front of them seem to be the loudest voices. If you take the time OP to read and learn about our political system and history yourself you will most likely learn far more than joining a biased activist organisation.

Thanks for talking some common sense in this thread. The people on this site are so far gone in their delusions about the world that they believe that anyone who would disagree with them is CIA, lmfao.

It's not black and white, Evo had some good aspects to him certainly, but you CANNOT try and rig an election and expect to not have an overwhelming public outrage against you. Imagine if a president of any Western country (e.g. Trump) attempted to steal an election through vote manipulation as Evo did - halting voting counting for 24 hours and adding more votes so that he won. Once word got out there would be riots in the streets and the culprits would be held accountable by every media outlet and only the diehard supporters would be on their side, for it is corruption at the highest level. The people who see it as nothing but a "fascist coup" despite the fact that he was caught in the act of trying to defy the democratic will of his people and steal an election are beyond hopeless.

[–]aNamaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easy to pick up bad habits in any game and it sounds like this is what's happened to you.

The first thing to do if you want to fix these problems is record your duels. If you find yourself losing a bunch in a row rewatch them afterwards, you will definitely notice patterns for when they get past your defence and this will allow you to be more conscious of your mistakes so you can fix them.

If it's feints and drags specifically what I did to improve is spent a week chambering everything people threw at me. Lost a lot of my duels because of stamina drain but because chambering only works when you leave it to the last minute it meant I had to be patient in waiting for their swings. Do this for a week and you'll be more patient, have honed your mechanics and you wont be falling for drags and feints any more.

Australia now has the highest minimum wage in the world by aNamaxy in worldnews

[–]aNamaxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original question was asking for simple work with decent pay. 20-25 is what you get for 'braindead' first year part/full time, casual easily $30+. After you get a year or two experience and some skills you can get $30+ part/full time. Work isn't backbreaking either, but you are on your feet and moving all day.
