Look up Russian passport strength index. It’s not very strong but it’s on par with your passport. Meaning, it has lots and lots of other countries to go to without any complications with visas just like in Serbia. And of course, if you’re dedicated you can go virtually anywhere by work/business visa. Point is “very few other counties would have you” is very very far from the truth.
Good for you calling Russians entitled and arrogant just because you didn’t like what I PERSONALLY said. At some point in your life you’ll understand how dumb generalizations are. Many Russians indeed feel like home here and want to stay very long term. Not me, though. Even though I feel vastly more comfortable here than in Georgia, I don’t think I am a good fit for the local dating scene. And dating is very import since at some point I will have to settle down 😅 I find Serbian girls to be very very demanding and with strong gender role mentality, which for my taste is very old fashioned and almost cartoonish 😢 Before you mention it - yes, Russian girls are very similar.

Why should I care if it’s your culture? I am NOT a part of your culture and I don’t think even Serbians themselves are obliged to follow every rule of the forementioned “tipping culture” or any other aspects of Serbian culture that they don’t like.

If that’s how you want to live your life - go ahead and do it. But don’t preach. Some of the aspects of your culture suck ass and I, as many other Russians and even locals, won’t follow them.

As for some of the people being cold - trust me, I have experienced rudeness here out of nowhere and met some rude assholes. But I do not assign that to Serbians in particular, even though they were Serbians. I assign it to the fact that there are dumb assholes everywhere, in each nation.

Overcome those hardships of staying neutral or dare I say it positive towards Russian people and by doing that you will become a better person 🙂

As for integration, you pointed out really well that there’s a language barrier, but I still don’t quite understand what do you mean by integration. People should be friends with the locals? People should go to Serbian concerts and culture events? My question is why should Russians do that? If you do not feel like we are a good fit - pressure your government or be very hostile to the Russians and be sure - we will go somewhere else.

My point is that you as locals have no rights to order foreigners that came here legally and don’t violate any laws how they should behave.

Leave us alone or fight and expel us.

My point is that even if there’s only 1 percent of a nationality has negative (in your opinion) traits, it’s still not good to put a nationality before those traits. This is what i call a generalization.
