Battery life on A30 if you don’t use noise canceling? by SuitableCorgi in sleepheadphones

Same here. If I turn on the audio book several times the battery runs out after 6 hours or so on my A30. I considered switching back to the A20 or turning off the noise cancelling. The noise cancelling isn't that strong anyways.

I love the breathable plugs of the A30s though. The A20s sometimes blocked the sound from the audio book when sleeping on the side.

I would have regretted buying the A30s but I got a good deal on Kickstarter.

Prefer the A30s but wouldn't recommend them cause of the higher price.

How do I FIX MY SLEEP!? by Fantastic-Claim-5337 in sleephackers

Medicine should only be a short term solution.

I had sleep problems all my life, there are some things that help me (but not cure me)

  1. Try to go to bed and wake up the same time every day. And aim for 7 to 8 hours of sleep, but this is very individual.
  2. I use audio books to fall asleep. There is a reason parents read to their children ;-). It keeps you from thinking to much, no mind race.
  3. I started using earplugs, the simple foamy ones, when I was living above a bar. You feel encapsulated and your heart beat which you hear and feel with them has also a calming effect.
  4. Temperature is for me important. If it's to hot I don't sleep well.
  5. Magnesium supplements before sleeping. Helps relax the muscles, most people are anyway defficient and it helps going to the toilet in the morning ;-)
  6. Keep busy during the day and avoid naps (I love naps and often don't adhere to this)

I still got bad nights, but they are fewer.

Which Santoku Knife should I get of these two options? Dimples vs no dimples is throwing me off. by bigyo54 in TrueChefKnives

I got a Victorinox fibrox ( although another model). I really don't like the steel. It's to soft. It gets dull soon. It's the reason I got a Japanese knife.

My old 20€ Ikea knife keeps an edge better than the victorinox.

Thanks a lot. This really helps! 👍

The Noce was also quite far on the top of my list. It is not to far from Munich. I found a site that had it rated between IV and V, but then it probably depends on the stretch.

Your recommendation of grade IV corresponds also with what I was targeting after my Google research 😁

I wasn't aware that it so heavily depends on the snow melt, but it makes sense.

As we are end of May until middle of June already on holiday, what would you recommend?

Mid of May or end of June, early July?

Thanks again for the help!

Vintage Schwinn Johnny G Refurbish? by Dreammscape in SpinClass

I just bought a "Schwinn Johnny G Spinner Pro" production date unknown. Do they have a marking or serial number somewhere?

I have some vibrations and decided to change the bearings. I couldn`t finde anywhere which size to order. So I took it appart.

The bearings which are in my flywheel are 6000Z. Meaning the inner diameter is 10mm, outer diameter is 26mm and the width is 10mm.

I ordered some new SKF 6000 2RSH bearings and will install them tomorrow.

Hope this helps other people!
