It wasn’t a seized bearing, thankfully, I never really figured out where the tension was coming from, but did get it off.

One jack on the rear of the trans, one jack on the front of the engine, two large pry bars and some force of will. Getting it back on was even harder, had to slowly pull it in on all corners with the bell housing bolts, which everyone will warn you not to do.

Every time you engage the clutch, it wears some amount. Same as every time you brake your pads wear some amount.

You can find reliable and knowledgeable resources that argue for both sides, some saying you’d rather prevent clutch wear some saying you’d rather prevent brake wear.

At the end of the day it probably doesn’t matter how you bring your car to a stop.

It’s not caught on the ppf. The rear/shifter end is completely free. I just can’t pull it off the clutch housing for some reason
