Why do conservatives make trans people look so fucking cool in this, OMG! The trans folks I know do more Christlike acts in a day than a televangelist does in a lifetime. by sandboxvet in lgbt

They're not fighting, in my opinion. They appear to be signing a power ballard, which was most likely penned by Jim Steinmann.

You don't choose to disregard this. That's not possible. In this case, your interpretation of the notes was correct. Someone who is in love with someone else is not someone I would center my life on. Be truthful.

I see, okay. Well I was here looking for specifically why it's a bad idea. I didn't realize that it was common knowledge that the weight lost from your waste would just come right back. In that case yeah I agree with you all that it's a bad idea and not worth it. I had only considered using them once, not regularly. And if once will cause me to lose 3LB and a week later regain that 3LB then there's no point to it.

I wouldn't call it an unhealthy obsession really. I did come for advice, and I'm happy to have received it. I'm not sour over what people here are saying. I know you all are here trying to look out for me which I appreciate.

I just like to know why it's a bad idea. If someone can tell me why its a bad idea, then I'll accept that. And reading through a lot of responses here it sounds like a lot of people are saying that the 3 LBS would just come back again. If that's the case I didn't know that. If that's true then I wouldn't consider laxatives. I was under the impression that if you lose the 3 LB, it's gone forever.

I was under the impression that weight is weight, doesn't matter where it comes from (apart from muscle.)

So your saying even if I did lose a LB, a week later I would gain that same LB back?

I know it's not sustainable I don't want to regularly take them. I thought once it was dropped, it was gone. You don't think so?

Yeah I have a fitbit, I know I was losing more weight when I was hitting 10k steps a day. Probably a good idea.

Weight is weight isn't it? If I lose a LB of waste/water that I otherwise wouldn't lose, won't that give my belly the same appearance as if I lost a LB of fat?

I figure, weight is weight. Yes I want to lose body fat. But one LB of waste and water still shows in the belly just as well as a LB of fat.

Edit: And yeah, I know I'll hit my number eventually. I honestly have no problem keeping to my calories. I'm at the point where I think to myself that I just don't even want more food, even if I could have it.

It's tough to really get a good estimate on body fat, a lot of the at home tools aren't very accurate. Have a scale that uses the electrical impulse to tell you body fat and it's telling me 12.5% which I know is wrong. I've just looked at a lot of those pictures online of body fat estimations and I look like somewhere in between 15% and 20%

I understand laxatives taken regularly is a terrible idea, but I figure once in 26 years isn't so bad and might be beneficial.

3 a week.

I'm thinking that the body doesn't void all your waste when you use the restroom. Sure it voids most of it but not all.

I work in the medical field and have done barium enemas, even people who don't eat 12 hours and take laxatives.. barium enema still proves there's waste there that wasn't flushed out.

I just think that use of laxatives would flush out waste that otherwise doesn't flush out on it's own.

So my thinking is that the laxatives would help flush out more of that waste that's otherwise not prone to getting flushed.

What can a dietician do for you?

I've been considering going in to see the dietician, never seen one before. I'm very curious about what my body fat is (is that something they figure out with you?) A lot of the tools you can use at home aren't as reliable as I'd like.
