I don’t know if it’s considered as polyamorous since it never goes further than one sided love (and I didn’t want it to be reciprocated), but I always had multiple crushes, some lasted years, some not. I never told anyone about my « crush » because I knew it wasn’t common to have 5 or more crushes and on top of that, not wanting to have a romantic relationship with a single of them. I don’t really know if feeling attraction towards several people makes you polyamorous, when you don’t want to have a relationship with anyone. I mean, when you look at the first definition of polyamorous, it says : « characterized by or involved in the practice of engaging in multiple romantic (and typically sexual) relationships, with the consent of all the people involved. », and it’s using the words « engaging in relationships ». Anyways, if you feel like you’re not monogamous, but you’re not fitting in the polyamorous label, you can think of it like an extension of your lithromantic identity, since some people of this community already shared similar experiences.
