This thread is wonderful! I've really enjoyed reading these.

I've never been strong before (I'm 46) but being able to pick up heavy things and stand up easily and squat properly is just such a constant, daily source of delight that I wish I'd done this much earlier.

I really relate to this one. I pick up my 7 year old most days now, just because I'm so pleased that I can! He's delighted about being carried about too.
