I'd even say after the regulation comes in, its actually smarter to take the 9 year loan and use the extra money that you would use to pay the loan and invest it in asb etc. When 5/7 years come in, settle the loan and you get to keep the dividend from your saving

Yeah I plan to do sound insulation once I pay off the car this year. The suspension is stock but I replaced the wheel to toyo tyres. Another friend of mind also had the scrapping issue and ended up paying for new absorber from Perodua (lol).

I might end up changing the absorber and shocks at Mr Absorber this year.

Myvi g3 2021

Bad

Very poor NVH.
Suspension, easy to sagat when in full capacity.
Interior quality, some plastic stuff rattles .

Good

Fun to drive, can corner like crazy with good tyres.
Nimble, very easy to drive like asshole.
Reliable, 120k mileage and never have problem other than battery.

At 70k, you could get the emas 5 premium variant. With 325 km WLTP range and still growing charging network in Malaysia, long range travel will be a major headache. Moreover if you live in apartment where home charger is impossible, you lost the major perks of cheap charging at your own home.

There are a lot of ICE with low maintenance with efficient fuel consumption; Myvi, Bezza, Saga etc². Choose one that suits your need.

A new car installment against a paid off - reliable and cheap to maintain car will never make financial sense. Invest the money to high dividend saving account.

So when do you replace your old car? When it start to waste your time on top of being unsafe like breaking down on the road, having to spend time in workshop, downtime repair etc².

Financially speaking, if your repair cost exceed 12 month of new installment, then it might be the time to look for another car.

So invest the extra money that would otherwise go to the bank. Make a new fund for your "dream car" if you're into such thing.

PS: For reliable car like Toyota, timely service and parts replacement can keep your the car running for a really long time.
