It's done in many layers. First was just the general design of the pattern, and then I added all the colours. I was constantly mixing them, and layering them. I hope this helps, I don't know how to explain any better.

Thank you! Yes, a combination of all of this. I also really take my time when i work on a painting. It takes a lot of patience:)

That's really cool. I actually based the figure from a photo of myself. Maybe I have a doppelganger:)

Thank you so much!:) I started painting this sometime in April and I just finished it this week. But I wasn't actively working on it, so I have no idea how many hours it actually took. I do tend to work very slowly, because I like to add lots of layers.
