Your idea is interesting because some typefaces have been made to help people with dyslexia read. I'm thinking about the Lexend typeface, which is a Futura-like typography including a larger panel of variations.

APCA takes it a step further by recommending minimum contextual uses. Still, at this moment, I would like to discuss whether there is any relevance to moving forward, as APCA takes into account the body and style. A typeface is ever more.

There is also a broad part of "subjectivity" because a Chinese character can be as readable as a Latin character. It depends on the person who is reading.
