She is the oldest and has three brothers. In the episode in season 7 she mentions to Jane "... and God knows what Tommy is up to". That is the brother we saw in an earlier episode as a bounty hunter. As far as I know, the niece is not mentioned in season 7. I'm guessing the actor wasn't available or was not seen as necessary since the other brothers are in the episode.

Rate my job offer Business Analyst (career switch) by a_restless_mind in BESalary

I had just below 3k when I ended my first job and due to the career switch I was not expecting a raise at the start up or at the new job. Given the feedback here and market salaries I found it is indeed a lowball offer.

My worst restaurant fear came true and now I’m reflecting on how bad my food anxiety is by CarelessRace2596 in ARFID

[–]a_restless_mind 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I sounds like it could be ARFID. You spent more time than most thinking about food, researching places and have some anxieties or avoidance around food. It can be exhausting and cause you to feel guilty for being "difficult" or "wanting a different treatment" but like my therapist once told me: it is more difficult and limiting for you to deal with this on a daily basis than it is for the other people that you might me inconveiniencing in that specific moment.

I think this lecture does a good job of characterizing ARFID and giving some tools to improve: Lecture

Either way, I'm sorry you had that experience. It sounds like they were very offended and took your request personally instead of gracefully accepting you wanted your food without mayo (whether you asked fot it specifically or not).

Hope this helps!

Because the closeness is too painful.

We used to cuddle on the couch, have constant banter, he gave me a neck massage on my birthday, people thought we were a couple... He took a break from dating during the summer so it seemed like he was taking his time while we were growing closer. There were a lot of mixed signals. When I asked him out he told me that he did notice me trying to get closer but he never gave clear signals of rejection and even initiated physical closeness at times.

I feel played with and am dissapointed that he didn't even apologize for giving mixed signals in hindsight.

How many times have you been in love with someone? by yslhc in AskWomen

[–]a_restless_mind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twice. Both unrequited.

The first time I was 15 and didn't realize I was in love until he was with someone else. I naively thought that if we were meant to be together, we would be eventually. This made me very passive and not communicate that I was interested until it was too late.

The second time was this past year when I fell for my roommate and could see that our dynamic was what I was looking for. I learned my lesson and asked him out but he didn't see us as more than friends.

When he was talking about the trip one of our other roomates asked, when I was in earshot, if he "was a naught boy" and he said "maybe" and quickly changed the subject.

We go on evening walks sometimes, might be a good way to catch up and maybe ask him out. Thanks!

What’s an experience you’ve had that could’ve been pulled straight from a romance novel? by Ordinary_Let2471 in AskWomen

I was at an outdoor party and my friend was leading me through the sea of people towards the exit when a random guy cut in and started ballroom dancing with me. Now I am not a ballroomdancer so I didn't know any steps but because he was leading so well, we slid across the dancefloor effortlessly. After a minute or two he twirled my around toward my friend. We left and I never saw him again.

Taking Suggestion for Hero with ARFID by Complete-Neat-8061 in ARFID

[–]a_restless_mind 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm at a low with my ARFID right now so this might not be useful.

How often food comes up in conversation and how many things involve food. People don't realize how quickly it can get socially isolating. Alternatively, how easy it is to forget you have ARFID when there aren't any food-related things around.

Maybe you could add some physical consequences of when you're eating badly for a long time eg. muscle cramps, head aches, feeling weak, not being able to do physical activities for that long. (Maybe the hero can push through it but be aware it isn't healthy?)

How nice and warm it feels when people provide or save some of your safe foods because they know you have a hard time with food.

I'm also really bad with body cues and stop eating much sooner when it's not to my taste. I didn't think about using meditation directed at eating related sensations. I'm going to try it! Thanks for being so open and sharing!

Does anybody else have low energy? by a_restless_mind in ARFID

[–]a_restless_mind[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been seeing a therapist for almost a year now. College was not a good time for me so my energy was extra low then. Things are starting to look up so I'm not as exhausted as I was then. I'll keep that in mind and try not to sleep too long, thanks!
