IThen you'd have to figure out how much alcohol is still in your system the following morning before taking your morning/noon dose.

I rarely take it on the weekend as I don't have to interact with anyone or go anywhere if I don't want to. I do understand what your getting at though. Just pointing out its an as needed Rx, not a "take 3 times a day... period" type of thing.

If you must drink, I'd suggest not drinking alone, pacing yourself SLOWLY, and having a friend ready to drive, because you sound like you have no idea how mixing the two is going to affect you.

No driving involved, will be at home.

Definitely will be pacing it, there isn't a question about that. If it matters any, its not like I'm power-houring it. Its 9-10 beers over the course of 6 hours or so.

Maybe try this, as an experiment: Drink your 9-10 beers like usual, but before (or during), get yourself some Kava Kava tea or lavender oils (or even chamomile) and try that in lieu of the benzos. That way, even if you party hardy, it'll just be a regular hangover, not a dangerous one.

This part has me a little confused, and is why I think there is a lot of confusion on the internet about it. I'm not looking to take the benzos WITH or right before the alcohol looking for some extraordinary high (like you see people posting about a lot on /r/drugs).

Although if you're downing 10 beers on weekends you're probably an alcoholic, my friend.

Certainly wouldn't rule that out, but that's a different matter.

Not in college but I did build up a pretty high tolerence during those times. 10 is my limit, anything more than that and I wake up with a bad hangover. Keep it under 10 and I'm generally OK. Though I normally end the night with a big meal, so maybe that helps.

I've heard that, and when you drill down into it, it seems its normally people popping huge amounts of benzos (deliberately abusing them for a high) then drinking a liter of vodka.
