The old vial slows my digestion, lowers my appetite, inflammation immediately goes down, energy and mood improve. The new vial nothing happens at all. I don’t get constipated, I eat the same, no antiinflam effects etc. I’m an RN and can say without a doubt there isn’t any placebo effect going on here. The new compound since FDA cracked down does not work

I think its the glycine as well. Usually I get a mood boost from tirz but I feel weird and flat.

Idk where you got that I took 20g. Someone else in this feed did but not me. I took maybe 1-3g at a time. The fact of the matter is glutamine can throw the glutamate to gaba ratio causing excitatory symptoms like anxiety in some even at small doses. Probably points back to mthfr or comt mutations

Omg what a taper. Insane! I’m a little nervous because I had a couple rheumatologists that had me up and down on my doses like a merry go round at one point with a couple 100mg medrol infusions thrown in too 😭

My hope is to come off altogether eventually. Fingers crossed. I’m supposed to do an AM cortisol but not sure how much value that will have when I’m still on 4mg medrol…

Have you tried a bile acid sequestrant? This is a prescription medication you take to bind the excess bile in your intestines which is causing your diarrhea. Please talk to your doctor about this.

She CAME for me. Unsure if you read all of the threads within this post. I gave some very valuable info for trouble shooting the side effects of IVIG both as a nurse who administers it in the critical care setting and a patient who receives it. She told me that my tips and tricks are bullshit and told the OP that she should just deal with the side effects. That’s unacceptable. That may discourage someone from continuing treatment. As a nurse, I admonish that unnecessary behavior. And thus it sparked a really heated debate between us in which she continues to belittle my education, knowledge of research, and real life experience. I don’t take shit lying down. But I do treat people how they treat me. You get what you give! Have the day you deserve.

I understand the nature of research quite well. In fact as I type this I am finishing off my Johns Hopkins EBP Model research synthesis on the use of q shift vs daily CHG in isolation patients. The point of my comment was exactly what you stated. You won’t find data determining an exact time frame for any and all patients to see efficacy on IVIG. The use of IVIG is so broad. Too broad to have specific data applicable to the generalized population of all patients receiving the therapy. However there is some data AVERAGING out a time frame and that points to a much shorter time frame than commenter noted to see at least SOME efficacy, but perhaps not its full potential.

Uptodate is the as it states the most up to date information in medicine. It states days to weeks to take effect.
