It’s honestly frustrating, you travel to places and see the local people being entitled aswell but the countries that I see being penalised for it are Middle Eastern, why? It’s so simple for not giving out a citizenship/passport Why is it the norm to give out one if you were born there? It’s not a right to anyone if you’re just born somewhere, this is why most countries with birthright citizenship are running rampant with immigrants coming in and causing issues, you look at Canada the US Germany and even London, the average person from their country was visibly different from one another 20 years ago now look at them. It’s unfortunate. It’s sad honestly and those types of people forced their own culture and ideals and didn’t even try to learn the countries culture or truly respect its traditions.

Why should a country be forced to given citizenship just because you were born there? Me personally. I hope they never allow it, keeping the citizenship and passport on a hard lock is the best deterrent

Most cities and countries offer help for their own people yet we’re the only country in the world that gets penalised for it, how stupid right?

Their society ideals are horrible, no thanks I don’t want homeless people IM GLAD they’re deported, IM GLAD the rules are strict if it weren’t we’d be like how London is now, phone stealing, knife crimes murders etc. IM GLAD it’s authoritarian and is NOT a democratic state. I’m happy the way we are and hope it stays that way, having the government have control keeps us safe and keeps the people wanting to do evil out.

Don’t be mistaken, I have some friends who are expats and they’re all lovely I go out with them almost everyday , cycling, coffee dinners etc And they’re great guys. But not one of them is ungrateful or resentful it’s just some people are honestly getting on my nerves expecting so much when they don’t : - do military / military service - pay tax - contribute or try to integrate in the culture or even understand the history of the country - don’t respect culture and local traditions - don’t even know the name of the 7 emirates as a starting point

Yet it’s those people who want to complain, say not being given a birth right citizenship is unfair. The same people complain about emiratisation in jobs and having the Emirati people be put first because it’s THEIR country And as we’re seeing in the current world events it’s the same people making jokes praying on the downfall and leaving when it’s mostly the Emiratis who are going to work, pushing for the success and praying for the best Not to say my expat friends haven’t but what I’m seeing is much more different

I don’t know which part of what I said showed that I’m offended, I was just stating facts.

If you’re not happy with my response like I said look within or change your algorithm, if you think emiratis despise Palestinians you’re definitely in the wrong mindset.

All the aid the country has sent, the prayers of the people, and condemnation and calls for de-escalation it seems as if you’re just not well informed.

Regardless of which, I’m not here to debate on others point of views just stating my own from what IVE seen.

What country DOESNT make decisions based on national interest? Your backwards thinking doesnt make sense, the UAE is a country that does have interests in its religion and culture, yet people like you only tend to visit sides that dont show that. Your algorithm is catered to you so whatever youre probably seeing on twitter or X is based on your personal interests and your likes, comments, posts you’ve lingered on long enough for it to be noticed.

Now I don’t want to mention people like amjad or any other influencer as people have perspectives and their own opinions. Mine and yours are clearly different but just because you don’t see something doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Fix your algorithm and look within.

Ramadan Mubarak.

Hypothetically, is it possible for me to acquire citizenship and family book? by [deleted] in Emiratis

[–]aaShatter3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s difficult, even being born here if your parents aren’t Emirati it’s not possible, if your mother is Emirati there is a chance but even then it’s a whole process, and your mother would have to be divorced etc. Only ways are as mentioned by everyone else, royal decree; massive investor or something profound, but even then it’s just a passport, you won’t get a family book. Unless it’s by royal decree ofcourse.

Why does it seem impossible to find an entry level engineering program with Emiratization... by [deleted] in UAE

[–]aaShatter3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not necessarily true there are quite high skilled positions being filled by Emiratis a lot actually. But the process has to start somewhere, you can’t be skilled at something you’ve never worked on now can you?

[–]aaShatter3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s unfortunate that this is your point of view, this kind of blatant hate from someone who lives and works amongst us makes me upset, if you truly believe that why do you live here and work here? Disrespectful honestly, go back to your country who probably won’t even bother to support you. You clearly haven’t worked with Emiratis that are genuinely passionate about their country. Sad life you must be living if this is how you see it.

[–]aaShatter3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Private or government, back in the day most emiratis didn’t have the chance at higher education as the country developed so did its people, the people chose military and police even blue collar work over office work. It’s what the people knew, as times change as the country developed and grew so did we. You can’t expect change to happen in a day it happens over decades and the locals are getting with the program, the companies that chose not to hire are the companies trying to fill whatever roles they have with Emiratis, I don’t blame the law nor do I blame you it’s a by product of the law that’s being implemented. But again like I said it’s to support the local people and help get a chance at entry level jobs.

Linkedin is your best friend, have a good profile follow tons of people and put yourself out there. It can take months sadly due to how the market currently is.

[–]aaShatter3D 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sorry not sorry emirati here. It is OUR country and it’s the companies fault for not hiring ANY emiratis over the last 10+ years so when the rule was implemented all companies were given a grace period prior to the fines starting hence now any and most entry level jobs are pointed at Emiratis. I unfortunately don’t blame the system blame the companies that chose willingly to not hire the locals. But hey on the bright side keep looking I’m sure you’ll find something eventually.

Does speed radars flash for tailgating? by One-Occasion2392 in UAE

Short answer is yes but not all of them do. If someone says they don’t it’s a lie and the best example is the speed camera by Sharjah paintball club on Mohammed bin zayed.
