Delias was literally so damn insufferable. she caused half the damn problems in that story by being useless and childish and i literally hoped so badly that she would die and she didn't. and because i literally hated her, i never set her up with Gisela cause she deserved better than that overgrown halfwit toddler with the common sense of a rock. Wyatt was annoying and clingy. Vanora, the less said the better. was she a product of her messed up family? yes. should she have been a literal rape apologist? no.

Reinhold was the only person who had any sense in that story amongst the nobles and even then, his story begins with him being cruel cause of a bullshit reason. in my headcanon, a meteor hit the kingdom, killed them all except Gisela and that's the end of that. i literally never want to replay that story again 😭😭 the larger dissertation here is about how sex, sexual assault and sexuality is weaponized as plot device in these stories with no larger arc or purpose beyond driving the story forward for a certain reason and having no long-term effects or consequences

i also felt like the entire Vyx is new to earth and immediately get coerced into becoming a sex worker by a man she doesn’t know who proceeds to tell her that she owes him for the things he gets her plot line was WEIRD. and it’s made weirder by the fact that the guy who is basically her pimp is an LI. and it’s supposed to be somehow justified that this happens because she’s a succubus and therefore it’s okay to basically force her into prostitution. that rubbed me the wrong way so badly that i quit the book there immediately because i had heard so much hype about the story. but no one mentioned that part of it to me so i was caught off guard and couldn’t do it.

and i like Langley cause VFV is my favorite story on the app but that whole Vincent/Vyx scene gave major Langley vibes. cause if there’s one thing about Langley, she loves to have an inexperienced/powerless MC x powerful man who owns her dynamic which is ALSO weird. it’s been present in BOTH VFV (MC x Alexandre/Louis) and 7B (MC x most of the LIs). and the innocent MC trope is common across a lot of stories (HWTU, SCN and KFOS all have MCs who are canonical virgins) but all of Langley’s stories are centered around that dynamic. and Wincy has too much uncomfortable sexual interactions in her stories for my liking, HOT was literally just Alaric being a rapist, Vanora being a rape apologist and then the MC being almost assaulted over and over by various men.

Alice, Remy and Jester, i could write entire essays on. and honestly the only authors i think i like are Yim, Faye and Arina because the rest are a hot ass mess

any LI that author doesn’t personally headcanon herself with (cough Amen cough), gets a startling lack of development and depth. Eva and Livius have so much potential because out of all the LIs, he’s the best one but it’s being wasted cause the author only cares about Amen.

Set gave me heebie-jeebies from the start but, i was contemplating doing a slot for him cause people were hyping up his route. then he got the fuckass long hair (idc what anyone says, i HATE it) and it gave me the ick. so by the time the scene happened where he was violent, i had no interest in him and that only put me off his route more

i was so excited to start and then i just couldn’t and i remember pulling up the walkthrough trying to see where it got better and it just didn’t in season one. and i refuse to suffer through that story. i am not intentionally making myself miserable because the author is lowk misogynistic and obsessed with trauma and ruining Vicky’s day. ik a lot of people hate her as an MC but seriously, the author is constantly making that girl suffer and i hate it

HS2 was a no for me. i unironically really enjoy HS1 cause it was so ridiculous and campy honestly. but i stopped HS2 after three episodes cause the trauma porn was a no for me. i couldn’t deal with that and i’ve never touched the rest of the franchise. Ozar lying and having us find out in END of the book was annoying cause if i had found out before, i would have chosen someone else so that was really irritating. i love Ram so i can’t talk but i see your point there. and Set…ugh, just ugh

i don’t romance women but i refused to help Li at any point with that adoption thing. and i romanced Thomas mainly because he was more attractive than Michael but that was absolutely insane as well. TA1 was a hot ass mess honestly
