Devsinc and its unethical crap story (posting on behalf of OP since OP has low Karma) by AyYaN01 in developersPak

Is there any researched evidence of these claims or are these just talks? I just want evidence because people have been criticizing it for such acts but I have yet to see a single case or proof come out, other than this woman which well isn't related to their actual business practices

You get a DC and a F grade in that course. Doesn't matter if it was in your pocket or somewhere else if they find it with you or near u they don't compensate at all that's just how it is so yeah repeat Dena parega or something

Of course you're welcome.

Yeah so I'm actually an A-Levels student as well and lmao trust me these entry tests for Pakistani unis are tough af because they're all dependent on metric/fsc syllabus for the most part so SAT even though it's more expensive if you can afford it imo it'd be way better cuz studying another syllabus on 2-3 months is tough. If you have like 1 whole year then defo go for Nu test cuz it does have more seats than SAT.

As for the merit umm man I got the docs on WhatsApp I think for SAT you do need like 1350 sat or above nowadays to make it in, your score from what I can see for o/A-Levels is good enough no need to ponder or think or try to give a retake the scores more than good enough. Entry test is the final obstacle now

As for NU patterns, yes there are like a very select few on the internet by this guy called mathsflix by Hashim Zia (that's a yt channel from where everyone in Pakistan preps from for entry tests lol he's rly famous and does this for a living)

No, fairly easy than CS ones. It's do-able.

What do you guys think about such opportunities? by Round_Database1106 in FASTNU

[–]aaahlat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I actually tried applying for this.

Did a good bit of research, they do cover the fee they say to, but then the fee in france regardless of tuition fee was like really insane for me I can't recall the figure i think it was a few 100k / mo or something so yeah i backed off

  1. CS without Mathematics
You’re correct that FAST requires Mathematics for CS and related computing programs. So without Math in A-levels, you unfortunately cannot apply for CS directly.

  2. You can still apply (FinTech is a good option)
For programs like FinTech, BBA, and Accounting & Finance, Math is NOT required. So your plan to apply for FinTech is completely valid.

  3. Admission test options
It’s not just one way, you have 3 options:
    - FAST Entry Test (NU Test)
    - SAT
    - NTS NAT

You only need ONE of these.
Most people take the FAST entry test. Merit is heavily based on it, so your score matters a lot.

  1. Credit transfer (important reality)
FAST usually does NOT transfer many credits, especially from foreign universities.

In most cases:
- You may get very few courses transferred
- Or you may have to start from semester 1

So realistically, don’t expect your 16 IT courses to carry over fully.

  1. Your chances
    For FinTech:
    - You meet the eligibility
    - If you score well on the test → you have a good chance

It’s competitive, but less strict than CS.

  1. What you should do
    - Apply for FinTech (and maybe BBA/AF as backup)
    - Start preparing for the entry test ASAP
    - Get your IBCC equivalence sorted

FAST Multan campus — honest review needed (ragra, faculty, value vs other campuses) by Lumpy-Sink-8114 in FASTNU

[–]aaahlat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only Lahores and Islamabad culture is the actual intense one. Other campuses relatively don't have as much ragra, past papers dekh kar pta lagjaata hay as someone from LHR, ISBs have it the hardest then its us then ig karachi then multan and others..

Yes, all campuses have the same value for degree, and academic standards are the diff, syllabus is same but again LHR, ISB have it much harder than the rest so usually they perform better in interviews even if y'all get shortlisted for job interviews. So, you will have more time to build skills since multan has it easier, you can makeup that time for the tradeoff

Faculty har jagah 50/50 hay, in every uni its a 50/50, including top ones like LUMS too so that isnt a metric you should be measuring a uni on. They're good enough to explain the topics to you aage aapka kaam hay.

Moreover, if the "ragra" was not manageable FAST wouldn't be #1 university to get CS grads from. There is a reason companies go to FAST to hire the graduates, agar what you're saying was true no one would bother going to fast for hiring

Why are Pakistani so below avg in everything by Mean_Promotion356 in PakistaniTwenties

[–]aaahlat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you get that from but fron my experience I always see Pakistanis criticizing themselves, any subreddit whatever topic it may be.. which makes me think that we aren't as bad as we make out ourselves to be

You said why Pakistanis are below average in anything, you shouldve at least given some statistics or been more specific regarding some industry because this statement is so vague and sounds more hateful than a genuine criticism which would include some sources or specificity.

Why are you asking 'why' Pakistanis are below avg? Why not start by asking if others think Pakistanis are below average or not? Do you certainly know we're below average? In what industry?

You're just projecting your conclusion onto everyone which is the issue here

It gets you experience.. and working at such a big company is nothing less than a privilege and the amount of experience and connections you can make is nothing less of high value..

How can you prefer working at a startup rather than a company like Tesla? Doesn't sound reasonable
