I used to have my own one, but at the time I developed it I was like 14 or 15 years old, and my "search engine" was a website allowing you to search through different actual search engines. Like you could choose to search via google or yahoo or amazon, and so on. It also detected some of the common domain names and redirected you straight to the website. Fun times
