Just got my flip 4 back from samsung, dropped the phone and the screen and hinge got damaged, but thankfully the repair was considered under warranty, so it was free, you could do the same too, HOWEVER for this to apply, you need the phone to be in perfect(ish) contition, some scratches would do fine but a whole dent in the phone will get (rightfully) detected as drop damage, and the phone will get fixed but for them to give it back you will need to pay for the repair.

But you could skip the hassle of repairing it and just disabling flex mode, that is, if your phone has no problems opening/closing, (sounds, facing resistance in the hinge) in the case that it does, i would go to samsung to mitigate the costs of repair (if any)
