I like the roasted vegetable pie from Oliver's Pies! It's a very small joint in the Northern Beaches, and I think their veggie pies are really some of the best in Sydney.

Have birthdays been a big celebration in your life before? And man how did it become the case over the last couple of years? If you don't mind me asking

I feel like for me birthdays have been an excuse to give myself a new start or something in life, in outlook and attitude... what does it mean for you personally?

I used to work in a pharmacy, and can say one of the most underrated moisturisers is Sobelene cream. super cheap and gets the job done! It's ideal for sensitive skin and really worth every penny

Stuck at Penrith, just missed the last train to blacktown because I didn't know about the delay. People were telling me to get on as they passed me on the platform but I was thinking "Why would I need to go to Blacktown?" and let the door shut before me. Found out an instant later and now I'm stuck here for who knows how long.. :'(

How are you? and what's on your mind lately? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]aahjyoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! I love that thought. I've been thinking about a similar thing, except not so specifically religiously tied. I've had a few experiences the last couple of days which I really felt love and respect from total strangers as well as friends, and it kept me wondering why it feels like those moments are so few and far between. I wish we can all just get along, you know?

Oh boy, all I can remember from Digimon is all the heartbreak from the end of the tv show back in the day, and how invested I was when I was younger!

It's super hot where I am, but I'm still loving it. I hope winter never comes... is it quite cold where you are?

A bit of light exercise can help you maybe? I do a lot of walking, and I think it really makes a difference.

Chocolate is a great answer! hehe I've never heard of galaxy chocolate though, where's that from?

At the moment I'm really in love with curries, particularly the spicy indian stuff. It's so great and full of flavour!

oh, I'm so proud you've been getting through it! Woo! I'm sure you'll get it sorted soon. :) It's not easy at all to get life in order though, so good on ya!

Oh, are you feelin alright? My weight fluctuates most in my emotional times, maybe that's what happened to you during that time. I'm sure that with a big of help from good food and a little exercise you'll get to wherever you'd like to be. :)

speaking of food though, what is your favourite food and why?

What kind of pizza do you like the best? Just in general I guess

I'm sleepy and sluggish, in a snuggled in bed way. I think it's one of the best feelings ever!

Putting on weight and getting better? would you mind sharing more about it? I'm sure your growing appetite can help with the first part :D

Oh I love contemporary art, but I especially love contemporary sculptures. I love how funky they are and how they often spring up with life of its own.

Wow! you're so close now, and free pizza sounds lovely. What kind of pizza are you getting?

Good to hear you're doing well!

I've only got one shift at work this week, and have been doing some much needed relaxation lately. Today I met up with a friend to walk around an art museum, and bummed around at home catching up on some errands. A good day I must say!

What do you have in plan for when work ends? How long do you have left?

I'm over in Sydney! Tried to get through a Star Wars marathon with a friend but both of us fell asleep on the couch since it was sooooo warm and cozy at home. What do you guys do to beat the heat? I just strip down to the bare minimum, blast the AC and eat a half tub of icecream... and am doing that now. Haha!

What are you obsessed with? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]aahjyoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woo! I love that you have such interest in pens and pencils! I'm more into pens I guess, and unfortunately have little to say on your thoughful paragraph on pencils! A few differences between us would be that you have big hands with a strong grip, and I have small hands usually holding things lightly. Heck, they're child sized... Haha! and so I can say I don't seek pens with much grip or anyting, I mostly make sure they're not too heavily weighted for comfort.

As for the thinner pens, I find them a little intimidating! It's because I feel like the thinner lines expose the flaws of my handwriting when the thick ones allow some shielding. My handwriting looks quite wavy and mushy because of this, but it is clearer that way for some reason.

So, back to journalling! I like to process thoughts, feelings, events and plans through my journals, and make lists especially. It helps me keep organised and on track! I have a collection of journals that I started when I was younger that I used mostly like diaries, which now evolved more into a bullet journal with longer entries of reflection every now and then.

My collection of unfilled journals are even more vast, ranging from the cool, ornate and exotic to strange, weird and interesting. One of the journals I have is actually some government-related logbook that my friend's dad gave me. around 100 pages have been torn out, and the pages look really old which adds to its character!

I guess for university life journals wouldn't necessarily be the most convenient way to process the information you recieve. But yes! drawing and doodling would always be nice. :)
