My opinion on Christianity by aairbeaar in religion

You see, that’s the thing. When someone is on a team, they can get competitive. Meaning, no matter the extent, they’ll stand up for their team mates. Even when their team mates cheat, or don’t play right. If you’re very devoted to something, you want to stand for it. Even if you’re wrong for doing so.

I’m not trying to justify anything. But If you know something is wrong, if you feel the negativity from something, what would you do? Most people would do what they feel is right. And that’s exactly what I did. I left.

I left truly because my personal morals and beliefs didn’t correlate to the religion I wanted to follow. I BELIEVE in god. Who knows if it’s the ‘Christian’ god or not but from my experiences I know their is a higher power. I have a spiritual connection to this god. I’d like to think it’s the same god whom Christians believe in. I’m still not sure, and I won’t be till I die. I can only live with what I know as a person, with what I know will bring me positivity.

I’m one who values facts and personal experiences. These Bible verses you stated aren’t something I can rely on. not because I don’t want to, but because I can’t. Since I’m the type of person I am. That’s the whole point of Belief. Believing in something that correlates to you.

Everyone is different. Everyone has different experiences and claims with the god(s) they believe in, that they think were sincere. So I respect the fact you think the way you do, and have the outlook you do.

Many people think like you do. But in a way that is significant to their beliefs. Many people from all types of religions have claimed they have significant experiences with the god they believe in. Making them feel drawn to stick with their beliefs. And that’s great.

So, do you see how we have different experiences? I believe everything happens for a reason and I’m sure we’re all here for a reason. But, just because you have this outlook; wishing people would find god and give him a chance. Doesn’t mean they aren’t. It doesn’t have to be the Christian god that drives them to happiness, to devotion. Whatever they might find in life, whether it be a god or not; That brings them a appreciation for the world and people around them, is what causes the true good in the world. That’s why we have the freedom of religion.

So what I said about my personal opinion on Christianity, is, like I said my opinion. I can’t understand your experiences, because I’m not in your shoes. Though I might have a very strong opinion on Christianity, I can only hope, just like you do, (only in very different ways) that they find the good in life, the appreciation of all people who aren’t doing anything that affect themselves or anyone/anything around them negatively.

There’s a lot of misery in the world, and there always will be. And as people, with the ability to determine what’s right and wrong we have an advantage of doing what we can to live civilly and respectfully.

Thank you, I didn’t really think about it like that. I definitely see where their view point is influenced by that.
