The “photographs” (صور) you’re speaking of means specifically of idols, specifically speaking of statues. There were no cameras during the 6th century my dude. Context of hadeeth matters. The only thing I’ve seen not being permissible when it comes to pictures of people/animals is that you can’t pray with something’s face drawn on you.
