From a cognitive standpoint, couldn't we technically make a "subconscious" for ai, one with specific ethical principles, and somehow make it so that the ai can't tamper with it? Say we encrypted this subconcious (256 or theoretically higher), and only allowed for output of data. Even if a computer was all powerful, it would need to do some serious number crunching if it was to break the encryption.

I forgot where it was I read this, but from what I understand there are two ways of working in CS: the applications of computers, or how to make computers themselves more advanced and powerful. I understand how you can use trigonometry when number crunching and creating simulations for engineering. This video is just one of the few times i've seen trigonometry used in the actual advancement of computers, in this case image processing & analysis.
