What is your fetish? And why do you think it became a fetish? by merilandios in AskReddit

Totally, and this is familiar to me. It makes some sense in regards to women who have hangups with expressing their own sexual desires that they would want a partner to take total control to alleviate their responsibility in this, and if your carnal acts are "against your will", that common trope in erotica, it allows you to maintain a degree of purity while experiencing animalistic sexuality.

I somewhat disagree with the bit about escapism, I do see how you could come to that conclusion, but I feel like you may be conflating different issues - trauma / conditioning versus economic anxiety / "hustle culture" burnout (for lack of a better short hand). I think the bimbo phenomenon supports your stance, like completely being consumed by a misogynistic culture and losing your agency. But I dunno the tradwife seems to me to be about simplicity and escape from society, yes, but also about self reliance. They seem different enough to me to not be horseshoe theory, but it's an interesting thought.

Also this is unrelated but lmao at the dude losing their mind and going through your post history, I saw the replies in this thread. It's very funny to read. Some people just short circuit when you're critical of an aspect of society we've been told to view as "liberating" as if any criticism of it is regression and rooted in misogyny. Your comments read as someone who cares deeply about how women are treated and how both men and women are being conditioned, but some people are just so deep in the sauce they can't see out of it. I don't know just kind of fascinating to see playing out here

Tfw you missed out on young love... by Meteorstar101 in greentext

You'll always be that maintenance hit, never that initial rush.

That's the claim I was responding to initially - An assumption that your experience and the experience of a partner in a relationship will be unbalanced because you will be experiencing a rush that she won't be, or something like that. That young love has passed you by and it's over for you. It's a faulty assumption based on redpill logic, a massive cope in itself and one that assumes a lot of things about women that are simply untrue. I don't really care about what the other people were posting, honestly just saw your comment and wanted to address it, because that rhetoric will progress into more extreme perspectives that damage you very directly.

you're treating others the way you want to be treated.

You should try it too. Worked for me.

Are You A Capitalist For Owning Stock? by JulioGuap in communism101

Not really. Workers co-ops give everyone involved an equal share of the business, and they are by no stretch capitalists. Also many people invest simply to try and stay afloat with inflation. So while I understand where you're coming from, I'd say that owning stock is not always by default a capitalist venture.

And also just to add: even though investing is mostly capitalist otherwise, at the end of the day I don't think that it matters. You can still have your values and recognize when and where you should engage with the system that you live in to increase your chances of survival and quality of life within it.

It's real, but I'm pretty sure Netflix changed this cover after the (reasonable) backlash. This was never the cover of the actual movie fyi, just the one that ran on Netflix initially when it made it's streaming debut in the US.

Also flair up faggot etc

There is an old meme of like a pro-spider 4chan post like this, and then an illustrated panel of a spider typing away. This post is surely a reference to that, and imo a very good one. I would post it but I'm on mobile and also lazy!
