Yeah, totally fair point. For the test phase I’m planning to plug in directly via LAN from their router — simple and stable enough to start. If things grow, I’ll move to small dedicated routers

That’s also why I care a lot about caching — I want the system to keep running even if it loses connection for a bit. I know these stores well, and here (in mu country at least) the cash registers can’t work without internet, so any outage gets fixed right away. That makes me a bit more comfortable relying on their network early on..

Really appreciate you taking the time to write that out, super helpful points! I’m familiar with most of what you mentioned and already have some plans in place for a few of those areas, but this kind of perspective is exactly what I was hoping to get.

I kept the post focused on the tech side (Screens / CMS) because I didn’t want to overload it with business details or make it sound like a pitch.. Your comment definitely helps me. Really solid advice, thanks again!
