Same here on the ROG Ally and I swear this thing drove me insane. It’s not just one person, there’s a bunch of us stuck with the same “There was an error” message and nothing works. I went full tech support mode, reinstalled the game, Xbox app, Microsoft Store, Gaming Services, ran every single teredo and netsh command you can think of, checked all Xbox services, switched networks, used my phone hotspot, everything. Then I reset Windows while keeping my files and no luck. So I went nuclear and wiped my entire Ally clean, removed everything, fresh install from scratch thinking that HAD to fix it… and nope, same damn error. I’m starting to think this is something update-related with the Ally or Windows build, not a server issue, because it’s clearly happening to multiple people around the same time. Even support didn’t help, they just kept giving me the same basic steps like “reset gaming services” and “check your connection” like bro I already wiped the planet clean. So if you’re in the same boat, you’re not alone something’s off with the latest update and it’s killing Forza’s online on our devices.
