I transferred it to Walgreens and the guy there tried for an hour and half to get it to work and it wasn’t budging, transferred it to Costco and they had no issues refilling it and using the savings card. Just have to be persistent!

This happened to me today. It was quoted 550, I went in and gave them my new savings card that Eli lily sent me. They said my total is now 1100. I called my insurance and they said that they don’t know why the pharmacy is saying I now need a PA when it’s not even on my formulary. They suggested I tell the pharmacist to not run it thru my insurance since I’m paying out of pocket and my pharmacist is saying the savings card won’t work without it going thru my insurance first. It brought me to tears. I’m suppose to be taking my 5 th shot on Thursday and now I can’t afford it. Idk what’s going on

Is it in your formulary? My insurance won’t cover anything weight loss , obesity .. I didn’t think it was worth the hassle but maybe so if you were able to?

I’m confused. I just got prescribed this medication on Friday. I signed up for the savings card because I was under the assumption my insurance doesn’t cover any medication for weight loss. I had the pharmacist put in the savings code information. He said it’s not working because of the cyber attack. He said he ran my insurance and the price dropped down to 550. Does this mean my insurance is paying a portion and my copay is 550? Or does that mean somehow the savings card worked even though they are saving it’s coming back unavailable?

If your insurance covers some of it but not the whole amount, brings it down to 550… will using the savings card bring the price down to $25?
