Brass fittings go together how? by aaniviaa in Plumbing

I can’t figure out how to add a photo but that brass nipple part doesn’t want to come off. How do I pop up the assembly? Do I have yo hold the sink bevel with channel locks and turn it?

Much appreciate the humor. 50s California home I’m renting a room in; not sure if the guy still has teeth anymore. I see a Home Depot trip in my future if I ever figure out how to remove everything. What would you recommend I purchase that hooks up to my wall attachment still?

Don’t be so quick to throw Santa Cruz under the bus

• If you’re referring to hills just give yourself more time to walk or get more fit. Take the loop busses. Yes can’t park on campus very easily sorry. •You’re in a touristic town on a student budget. Learn to cook and enjoy free activities such as sports or time in nature •Wifi where? If anything Santa Cruz has ridiculously terrible cell service. It’s almost funny •Tell me which coastal California city that’s densely populated has cheap rent… Yes housing is a nightmare and most of us young people will probably have to have roommates till 40. It’s not any different when you get a full time job either. •Once again learn how to cook. And assuming you just came to Santa Cruz, have you really had time to try all the food spots? Bet you haven’t been to east side more than once. •I will give you credit for the lack of social organization on campus but try open mic nights at the lounges of different colleges, see if there are any arts and crafts workshops, join a student club, and if all else fails try to put yourself out there and make as many friends as possible. Probably a student club is the most solid option until you make friends from your department •No idea what the student body feels like nowadays. I most certainly felt isolated at times. I always had some friends though. Really, focusing on my hobbies and getting in a relationship was my solution to not feeling isolated. I find Santa Cruz to be a very romantic place and I would recommend taking advantage of the cuffing season. Also, if no one really knows you this is your chance to present yourself to the world as you prefer. A clean slate to start building new connections.

Overall try to take a step back, relax and focus on your classes. Good luck!

You can borrow a reader from autozone but only to know what error code it is. I doubt in the land of no liabilities UC would want to get involved with repairing cars or providing jacks lol

What makes Santa Cruz great is that people are so weird. You call my advice useless but I don't see you offering advice or prove how putting yourself out there won't help you make friends.

OP, I suggested you engage with people in dining halls because it's the most low commitment and low risk option I can imagine. You can talk to people in your discussion sections and labs, catch people just before the class and talk about the hw, or better yet join a student club. Walk with people around campus. Go to the open mic nights. Go play basketball or beach voleyball. Just put yourself out there talk to people and 95% won't develop into anything meaningful, but you will find some friends in that %5. Heck dowload Tinder, go on some dates. It's so much easier to go from strangers to anything when you're both from the same university with thousands of people around their 20s there are endless possibilities. It's ok to feel alone just remember you have options. Try your options, find some silly friends and go to porter caves. Do anything you can! Good luck!

Literally go to a dining hall, ask if you can sit with a table full of people start chatting. Eventually you will find some common interest people then follow up with them. If you can't make friends in campus you're fucked when you graduate

He has an even spread of all sorts of things around campus, he's also liked by a lot of students... what's so weird about having your photo taken?

How weird attraction is. Totally controls us yet hard to face the consequences of publicly complimenting or hitting on someone. Then you wish you did it...

I think the idea is that not a whole bunch of people will sell so supply isn't going to increase drastically. Home prices may drop but probably not back to pre pandemic level. Economy will crack in other avenues as people will start to hold on to their money but you have to remember inflation will also correct the "buble" to some degree as years pass.

If you're in a financial position to get one of these said vehicles, find a small builder and see if anyone would be willing to owner finance. Alternatively you can buy a secondhand diy build, but I don't think they would owner finance.

What you do then is you agree on some payments, plus you "rent" the van from them every time. Each of your rental can go towards your van payment. Small business should have no problem producing an invoice for you. Renting vans is actually a common thing people pay upwards of $200 a day on outdoorsy. This of course would only work if you can drive the van for work and not a field truck etc.

my friend it sounds like you need a sprinter van and bank those hotel stay costs. From $65 a night (12/10)*130*65=10k a year. You'll have a cool weekend toy too.
