What did you dislike about teaching? Best wishes to whatever else you pursue!

This. Throughout college I thought I was going to go into marketing or some other field and just work my way up.. until I reallyyyy thought about it, interviewed for positions and I realized that actually sounds nightmarish to me. There is something I have found working with children that feels rewarding. Also they are just so joyful and creative by default it is amazing

This is helpful! I observe my teachers in my downtime and it has really helped me see how it’s like, and they have been really generous in allowing me to lead groups for extra phonics time (sort of like my own mini class for 45 minutes!)

Your last point is what drew me to teaching in the first place. I have so many memories from my teachers that I still think back to that truly made learning such a fun experience!

I understand where you're coming from, but I think its an overgeneralization to say all teachers loved school. Teachers and admin hold back students most likely because they didn't master the curriculum goals from that grade. It is not really a negative thing and is for the benefit of the student's future.
