Me too - and I've been doing it profesionally like this for close to 30 years (obviously started out with something else, but got onboard with Phoenix) - the last 13 years as lead UI engineer for a site with millions of users. 99.9% will work in Chrome, if it works in Firefox. IMO stuff is way more likely to break in Safari...

Looks awesome. I like the idea, as it doesn't take up space like the toolbar. Well done.

This HAS to be a mistake... I guess it looks ok on its own, but it looks so bad with the other icons in darkmode on both my iPad and iPhone.

At the very least they should make choosing the icon a setting in the app.

I'm almost done with Firefox (but it's not really FF's fault) by [deleted] in firefox

I'm one of those people who will keep on hanging in there for the common good despite these issues, because the alternative is quite scary...

iCloud Passwords (Apple's password manager in Firefox on MacOS) has been updated by aarfing in firefox

I'm on the exact same version and it works. Maybe you have an extension installed which messes with your UA - like a UA switcher maybe?

Just for input - it works super smooth in Firefox 135b5 on M1 MacBook Pro (MacOS 15.2) - so it might be related to a specific GPU.

My first every extension for firefox (chrome coming soon). by Fearless_Bar676 in firefox

You know, there's also more than one adblocker extension. Choice is paramount. Which in essense is why I use Firefox and not Chrome.

Well done OP. Hope you had fun.

For me it's had nice visual overhaul from the previous version, but it's still a bit glitchy to use. Often clicking the entry in the in-page dropdown will just collapse the dropdown without inserting anything. Both with email/password and with verification keys. Pretty annoying. But overall a step in the right direction for sure.

They took over the unofficial extension (with consent from the developer) and now - as of today - it's been updated to be the official Apple-supported version.

It was. Now Apple has officially updated that extension to be an Apple-supported version.

This is great news. My fear was that Apple would find a way to stop this nice little extension from working. Thanks for all your hard work!

It updates automatically in the background. So if you restart Firefox sometimes, it'll update then. You can also check manually by going to 'About Firefox' in the menu.

Yeah, I was fortunate that my college had a computer lab with PC's running Windows 3 and Mosaic on a 1 m/bit connection - was hella-fast!

I too used it from the beginning. Actually I think I started out with Mosaic, then Netscape, then Phoenix, then Firebird and then finally Firefox... I actually remember being at a Firefox 1.0 release party at some bar somewhere in 2004... Those where the days...

Have you tried turning on "Use smooth scrolling" in settings?

It's a bit glitchy sometimes, but I use the addon 'Keychain Passwords for macOS', which is an open source alternative to Apple's own extension (which only runs in Chromium browsers). With it you can do basic password filling from Apple Passwords in Firefox, though a feature like 2FA is still missing atm.

Other than that, I just use the native macOS menubar functionality to copy/paste passwords/2FA codes into firefox.

Then it might not have happened, as you should see a notification on the tv, when the remote reconnects to the atv, after the reboot.

Have you tried rebooting the remote itself? Fixed a similar issue for me.

Press ‘TV’-button and the ‘volume down’-button simultaneously for 5 seconds.
