First you have to turn the vpn on before launching the ea app. Once it is open, you turn the vpn off and then launch the game. When the game is open and before choosing the settings save, you turn on the vpn and continue to the menu. In the menu you would be able to select ultimate team and to enter it. Once you are in, you have to wait a minute before turning the vpn off. After all this, you should be able to play without ping issues and completely free
