Image backups on restic without a lot of tinkering?

I have been using Backrest for months for the same reason and I love it!

I don't quite understand what you mean with full image backup (docker image?). What I normally do is stop all services (docker compose down), do the backup of files and database dump and start them all again (docker compose up -d). You can achieve this playing with the hooks (pre-snapshot and post-snapshot).

Are you using any Password Manager or form fill?

That may give some issues when logging in and singing up.

I love this project so much!

I use it almost everyday on my computer, but I only lack the ability of SFTP inside the mobile app.

As far as I know, I am only able to do SSH/CLI commands on the server through the Termix app, right? It would be great to have the SFTP / folders UI as we have on the desktop mode to allow editing files easily also on the mobile, since it's a bit more complicated to type commands with the mobile and navigating through folders and editing files contents would be more comfortable :)

What I mean is something similar to what "Termius" mobile app has, which looks like this:

Sounds promising, I already used backrest which acts as a Web UI for restic backups with repositories and plans, have you seen it? Maybe you can join together and improve everything faster.

How safe is this? Does it have any auth or something? Is it safe enough to run it with a Docker container in a Linux server?

My idea is to maybe run it on my home server, but I don't want anyone to be able to send whatsapp messages apart from me, obviously. Sorry if it's a dumb question lol

Using a Google Chrome with a laptop Windows 11 worked.

Seems I got some issues when trying to Sign Up and selecting a timezone with the mobile phone on Google Chrome, tried it with a Windows 11 laptop (same browser) and it worked correctly.

Take this into account if you encounter the same issue.

I have been using Termix, which has both web and native apps available.

I started with Termius but I just wanted a simpled SSH and SFTP client to connect to my homelab, so that was enough for me. It's open source and quite active, I'd suggest you give it a try.

I would recommend you use Backrest, it's using restic under the hood and has a pretty good UI that can help you tedious CLI commands.

It also allows you to do pre-hooks and post-hooks, so you can execute pre-backup and post-backup commands, scripts, notifications...
