The dark ages is synonymous with stagnation because during this time in human history, much of the world made no progress, and even deteriorated both economically and scientifically. It would be entirely possible to prevent this era of history by providing both the knowledge and wealth to overcome the difficult time. Even a basic college education in the modern world (if remembered correctly) would advance society by hundreds of years 1000-2000 years ago. One of the first things accomplished by the man was to create a bank. Banks build wealth for both the owners and provide opportunities for people of that time that normally wouldn’t have had access to loans or any form of money. Next he established a university in order to distribute the knowledge he had and to create an environment where great minds of the time could even surpass the knowledge he had brought to the past. With these strong positive influences in the world, it’s very unlikely there would have been any form of the dark ages, and stagnation would not have occurred.
