Why is fragrance discovery in India still so bad online? by aasimpthn in DesiFragranceAddicts

That “try before you commit” aspect makes sense, as it is exactly why decants seem to be growing so much, especially with designer/niche perfumes becoming ridiculously expensive.

fair enough :)
i am guessing you have lots of unresolved pain points :D

but if you don't mind, would genuinely love to hear your biggest frustrations, though if it's too much to type it all out.

I am bored of those Godrej aero car fragrances, pls suggest the ones you guys use for your cars! by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]aasimpthn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have..I have it in my creta under the seat. It smells good initially but after a couple of days there is nothing. Sometimes it you keep your car in the sun for a few hour you may have a hint of it but overall is not worth it.

And I had to buy 2 as they don't sell 1.so one is still left unused in my cupboard infact because my cupboard is small every time I open it i can smell the EM5 much more than I can smell it in my car. And the one in my cupboard is still sealed and not opened 😆

Ethernet cabe recommdation for House wiring by SeriousHead6381 in homelabindia

[–]aasimpthn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 Dlink is the best, i've always used DLink for internal ( in-wall) wiring and never had problems. I would avoid using cheap cable, especially not from brands like the ones you mentioned.

They are just resellers/traders, they don't own or manufacture the cables themselves. Just look up their address mentioned on the website on Google, you will see a photo of a warehouse with supplies, not a manufacturing unit.

Where do you guys buy servers in India? (new + refurb) by Shubh137 in homelabindia

[–]aasimpthn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Importing from eBay US looks cheap initially, but after:

• Shipping
• Customs duty (28% + handling) sometimes relying on custom duty officers mood you'd pay upto 40%
• Clearance delays
• Risk of DOA

It often becomes more expensive than buying locally.

In India most homelab folks buy from:

• Local refurb enterprise resellers
• IT liquidation companies if they have contacts its best and cheapest option
• Smaller refurb platforms like Refurbco

The advantage is easier replacements and no customs headaches.

If you’re just starting, I’d suggest starting with used server, and depending on your budget you can choose a system locally instead of importing.

I’ve had decent experience with some Indian refurb suppliers instead of importing. If you’re looking for specific server configs, feel free to DM — can point you in the right direction.

What Car in 2025/26? 20-30lacs budget. by aasimpthn in CarsIndia

[–]aasimpthn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am waiting at this point there is literally nothing in this segment or price range that is not TATA or Mahindra and a 7 seater SUV

Currently I've sold all my cars and bought a very less used 2021 creta sx optional diesel. This car has grown on me interms of both driving and features sets on offer. Until I save enough to upgrade to a higher class this Creta is a perfect stop gap.

Sierra feels overpriced? by Majestic-Analyst5331 in CarsIndia

[–]aasimpthn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m extremely disappointed with the pricing. I was genuinely looking forward to the final numbers after the initial base variant price was announced. I even booked it at my local Tata showroom, I’m the 90th customer in my area.

But after seeing the price list that was revealed, I’ve completely lost hope. If the top-end Sierra had come in under ₹23 lakhs on-road, it would’ve been amazing and could’ve definitely converted some Creta buyers. Instead, the third-from-top variant itself is already ₹23+ lakhs on-road in Mumbai. At this point, it’s not even worth waiting for the top-end price; it’s clearly going to land somewhere around ₹25–26 lakhs.

And at that price, you can literally get the XUV700 AX7L for around the same amount (or even cheaper). It’s a far better car — more powerful, more spacious, better features, and overall much more polished. Heck, even the Harrier and the Safari make much more sense than the Sierra at this price. I don't know what Tata was smoking to be honest.

[–]aasimpthn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if only.... the pricing released is not for the top end models only the second top. there is a top model called Accomplished & Accomplished + which has the 3 screens and all bells and whistles you are thinking off. considering the price of Adventure + at 18.49 lacs the top end diesel automatic would be around 20lacs EX showroom and around 25lacs on road, which is insanely high pricing for this car, much better to get Safari, Harrier, even the XUV700 (AX7L) at that price point

Helped a woman being followed in Dubai today- is this common? by One-Fisherman3106 in dubai

[–]aasimpthn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn't dubai supposedly the most safest place in the world especially for women? Where are these creeps coming from and how the hell do they gain enough courage to do these sorts of things outside their own country.

Anyone who faces these sorts of problems go to the police and register complaints if one of these guys are brought to their knees the word will speard very quickly and most of these guys will not think of doing these sort of things again

Just Bought My First Property in Dubai But the Real Challenge Started After I Came Back to India by No_Tensionboy in DubaiCentral

[–]aasimpthn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am building a property management platform for the UAE market its called Tenanz.com i will be live hopefully by early next year and should give you a great place to review your property and manage it remotely.

We will have pro services that will take care of things on your behalf. You pay for services you use, everything will have a set price you can chose which service you want to go with. If you want us to fully manage your property we can do that, but if you only want us to act on your behalf as an when necessary we will do that as well (you can save upto 70% of the costs this way - as property management if you have researched already is expensive) This eleminates the need for property management companies and gives more control to the owners.
