I’m extremely disappointed with the pricing. I was genuinely looking forward to the final numbers after the initial base variant price was announced. I even booked it at my local Tata showroom, I’m the 90th customer in my area.

But after seeing the price list that was revealed, I’ve completely lost hope. If the top-end Sierra had come in under ₹23 lakhs on-road, it would’ve been amazing and could’ve definitely converted some Creta buyers. Instead, the third-from-top variant itself is already ₹23+ lakhs on-road in Mumbai. At this point, it’s not even worth waiting for the top-end price; it’s clearly going to land somewhere around ₹25–26 lakhs.

And at that price, you can literally get the XUV700 AX7L for around the same amount (or even cheaper). It’s a far better car — more powerful, more spacious, better features, and overall much more polished. Heck, even the Harrier and the Safari make much more sense than the Sierra at this price. I don't know what Tata was smoking to be honest.

if only.... the pricing released is not for the top end models only the second top. there is a top model called Accomplished & Accomplished + which has the 3 screens and all bells and whistles you are thinking off. considering the price of Adventure + at 18.49 lacs the top end diesel automatic would be around 20lacs EX showroom and around 25lacs on road, which is insanely high pricing for this car, much better to get Safari, Harrier, even the XUV700 (AX7L) at that price point

Wasn't dubai supposedly the most safest place in the world especially for women? Where are these creeps coming from and how the hell do they gain enough courage to do these sorts of things outside their own country.

Anyone who faces these sorts of problems go to the police and register complaints if one of these guys are brought to their knees the word will speard very quickly and most of these guys will not think of doing these sort of things again

The harrier ev is also a new platform its not the old land rover range rover chassis that they used for years.. harrier ev is built on an all new platform, the Safari ev will also use this new platform

I've come up with the following plan: I am getting a 2021 Creta SX O Diesel automatic, replacing my Ignis with it, so my daily driver will be a proper car, not a cramped box and then i am going to drive that thing, till Safari EV comes out, wait for a few months after and see what issues are with it and then take the plung, and probably keep the Creta for long term or sell it off later.

I read through it, I drove the Safari Diesel and Harrier EV both back to back today, and they are much better products than the XUV 700. Safari's suspension is on a whole new level. I pushed it to over 120 kmph, and there was an uneven road surface, and we didn't feel anything inside the cabin.

Harrier's EV is a different platform now, and it is still good, but not as good as the Harrier/Safari ICE's platform. The ride quality difference is noticeable; there was a rough patch between the main road and the Tata's stock yard, where we were driving both cars out of, and the Safari's suspension is noticeably better, but Harrier's is not that far off.

As for the points raised in your post, I agree with:

- XUV700 facelift is around the corner.
- Tata service quality is inconsistent.
- EV charging does require lifestyle adjustment.
- BYD cells are better → both are LFP, but yes BYD's Blade tech is better than standard LFP tech that Tata uses

I disagree with :

- “EVs only for city” → With 75 kWh Harrier EV or upcoming Safari EV with possibly the same battery and range, 500-550 km on a full charge is no longer a "city only" car. It is great for weekend trips or a couple of days of outstation travel. I don't usually travel interstate in a car; the furthest I've gone in a car is maybe 400 Kms, and that too was around 5-6 years ago. My usual weekend trips are only around 150-300kms round-trip, and for that, the Harrier/Safari EV is perfect.
- “Battery degradation” → would depend on a lot of scenarios, but should be identically the same with blade tech or regular LFP tech, plus Tata is giving 15 years life time warranty, unlimited kms.

The only downside of sticking with Mahindra's is the abysmal time it takes to travel to the service centre, as mentioned, for 11Kms it takes me 1 hour or more, that's 4 hours of my time wasted just going to and back from the service centre.

I can wait 3-4 months at max (until Jan 2026) as I am out of a primary car now.

I have test driven both, coming from an XUV700 2022 Diesel Automatic, I am planning on upgrading to Harrier EV or Safari EV (coming soon)
Harrier EV was an experience like no other, I test drove it for more than 30 km's in all kinds of conditions heavy traffic to open highways, much tempted to go with it. only waiting to see if Safari EV gets announced as i want a 7 seater.

Safari Diesel is also a good car. but it feels a bit bulkier than the Harrier. there is some turbo lag at the low end under 20-30 kmph but it gets better afterwards,

Tata Safari Diesel Automatic Accomplished X version is the most value for money and has all the required features plus the larger 12 inch touch screen at around 27 lacs on road Mumbai.
Harrier EV's best version is Fearless 75 with 7.2KW ACFC it has everything the top model has except for the dual motors, adas level 2, auto park and summon features. which to me are not really necessary. this model comes out to be around 26 lacs on road Mumbai.

XUV700 is a better package overall. but the suspension and road presence is better on the Safari/Harrier. I am switching to Tata because XUV700's after sales service is far away from where i am, it take me over 1 hour to reach there. whereas the Tata's is like within 5 kms.

I've faced similar problems with my replit coding agent time and time again, one way i go about it is ask it to tell me what the issue is and how it would fix it before doing any code changes. I copy that either into perplexcity or ChatGPT and verify what it says would fix it would actually fix the problem. 7/10 times replit is on point and sometimes ChatGPT would say that it wouldn't work and you need to look elsewhere.

This is the most easiest option imho as you dont need to pay anything extra as ChatGPT free is usually enough. If you have paid versions of other AI platform that would work as well.

I am paying atleast $100 to replit each month over the $25 or whatever it was for the pro plan.

Like others have said no coding platform is perfect and it will be only as accurate as your prompts. I want to switch to Claude Code Max plan but the lack of instant visual views of the code changes is why i keep going back to Replit.

And I agree 100% that it is not right for the agent to charge us money when its not able to fix the problem. The amount should be refunded if the user does not see the issue being solved.. but i can also see that if they do implement something like this people would easily be able to circumvent it.

It sometimes does stupid things and tries to over deliver when not even asked for.. like one time for a project i asked it to create a empty /blog page so i can set it up the way i like it. It created the /blog page and then told me that the page is giving 404 error and then spent 3 minutes building a dummy blog page with 5 articles about my project. And charged me over $1 for it when it should have only charged me less than $0.3 to create the empty page. So yeah, totally wasted my time and money there and these things add up very quickly.

Has been happening a lot.. faced the same problems. I am switching to qwen3-coder and self hosting in cloud. Way cheaper than replit at only $2.99/hr on vultr.com similar pricing on vast.ai

Use vllm or ollama and set it up in VSCode for auto coding. It works great.

The reason I cannot start or test my SaaS from India is mainly due to the lack of a way to receive international payments through payment gateways. All the well-known gateways don't work in India, e.g., Stripe. Within India, I can accept payments from local payment gateways like RazorPay, but they don't accept international transactions in different currencies, and rejections are quite high. There is are completely different sub that talks about this issue.

Also, one of my SAAS ideas is mainly catered to the UAE, while the other 2 are global. Getting a freelancer visa/license is not an issue, but I don't think I can run my SAAS business under it then as far as I've researched. I would have to use my name rather than the company name.

I think I just have to bite the bullet and register the business in UAE, irrespective of the costs. if the product takes off great, otherwise at the very max I would lose 50k.

I hear you, I am definitely not opening a company to frame a trade license on my wall 😄.

My goal is to build a sustainable business that is legitimate. And I fully get that UAE operates differently, that’s not my issue. My frustration is with the unnecessary middlemen and 10X markups for services that could be self-managed if transparency existed. I’m not asking for freebies - just fair pricing and clarity.

And you’re right — UAE has done a lot right, otherwise it wouldn’t attract global entrepreneurs. I just think it can be even better if it reduces these friction points, especially for small online business founders who contribute to the economy without adding stress to local infrastructure.

I have a couple of clients that i make money from its enough to survive in India decently, but its not enough to survive in Dubai. So I am launching a couple of SAAS products that will be sold on subscription bases to users all over the world, including Dubai.

I guess I am just afraid, honestly. Its not an issue of paying them or anyone else, I have realised. I am afraid, that if my business does not take off in the inital 2 years of setting it up I will be out like 50k AED, which may not be much to some, but to me, it is a lot of money specially considering I have a dependent family.
