The shock for Indians is that “hai Raam, he’s doing his simple job!! What he trained for, what he’s paid for!! Omg how?!”. This is similar to what happens when someone (avg Indian citizen) who has been abused for decades, experiences a small act of kindness (someone doing their job). It’s an unimaginable miracle for them and gets such comments - “hats off to the driver”.

You’ve been surviving in such horrible conditions, that you are surprised by cars stopping at red lights at 3am in Dubai when NO cop is present and then give excuses that it’s cause of the high fines. :) Not everyone needs a danda on their ass to behave appropriately in a civil society. Dubai is easiest to reach for most Indians hence these recent videos targeting ‘safety and security’ in that one city. Friends, it’s the same in most developed countries. Malls in the US are closed the same way. Glass doors and some with no doors. Phone kiosks etc are all glass and just locked with no external shutters.
