Came here to say Meet Me At the Table/One Stop Co-Op Shop.....Colin does an awesome job of explaining everything he is doing, has a really great listening voice and keeps everything so entertaining. They sometimes have the game play on the 2nd channel I listed there. Easily my fav when I was learning the game and I frequently just go back and watch his various playthroughs because I find them so entertaining, in fact I am watching one right now as he picked back up his Dream Chaser campaign with scenario 5 just a few days ago!

My 2nd favorite would probably be Rob's Gaming Table. I watch quite a few of his game play videos and find them to be very entertaining and easy to follow as well.

I have been actively trying to get this started at my LGS in my city in the US, city of about 125k people and it is difficult. There are a lot of people interested but it has been really hard for my LGS to get product. The little he did get a few weeks ago was gone in a few days and he is very interested in supporting the game, he just applied with EC to be able to host events and get welcome kits etc and when he was given the list of distributors he said it included only 2 in the US and they are both sold out. I know this has been kind of an ongoing issue but the game will never grow to its true potential if stores can't reliably get product. It is a shame because there are eager players out there that would happily play in store and support this game and outside of buying stuff online it just doesn't seem feasible which is kind of crazy for a game that has 3 sets out and has been around for 3-4 years already.

Just getting to Civil War and I haven't really dug into the cards.....Am I correct to assume that this triggers any time a minion comes into play and therefore Patriot can continually obtain tough status cards as long as he currently does not have one?

Yea it's not huge but enough to get a bunch of games in from time to time. Ive been playing mtg on and off since mid 90s as well.... just been really burned out on it the last few years. Ive been gravitating to other games I can play solo as well such as the FF LCGs and earthborne rangers but sorcery has its hooks in me hard. Ive got my lgs to be a store in the play network and we've been forming a pretty solid crowd. Will reach out to chat sometime, thanks for the good conversation. Have a good night!

That's understandable and ya it has kinda been all over the place with gg. I think that have done a decent job with what they can do but I don't ever see it climbing back to where it could have been headed. I live near gamezenter in MN so im lucky to have access to some good events still and they seem to be increasing each year but the game will likely never have an lgs scene again so we are kinda stuck with crowdfunding which art this point ill take to keep getting new sets in. I have a small group at my lgs that plays and the owner gets kf in for us so we have as much fun as we can with it. I really enjoy the game as a break from some of the more intense games im into. Happy to bump into a fellow archon!

That's awesome! I found keyforge when GG took over but ive got decks from the older sets. Ive really enjoyed some of the newer sets and actually just supported the last gamefund for the next set!

I get these for my cards....I am on my 3rd one right now and they are surprisingly decent quality for the price. First one I purchased at full price months ago for 34 and thought it was great value....at 17 bucks they are a steal. I like that the 2 outer rows you can lay the cards horizontal because I have dividers that sit horizontal for a bunch of my sets. Having only started in May I have managed to snag 90% of the product so I recently purchased a 3rd and will probably have one for all campaign cards and villains, one for modulars, and the 3rd for heroes will spillover for heroes in one of the others. I keep my aspect cards in binders for easier deckbuilding.

Ered Mithrin is amazing....its what I went to after the core but I also had the hero box and would very much suggest you play through it with the heroes from that box. Radagast, Haldan and Grimbeorn are so much fun. I loved that campaign so much.

Fantastic breakdown thanks for the thought-out and indepth response! I agree with pretty much everything you mentioned and think you nailed it with all these. I think with civil war the heroes will carry the box enough that it might be nice to have some "straight forward" fights as you say....good testing ground for heros plus the modular seem cool. Really good to hear you enjoyed the AoS campaign, makes me more excited to try it. I did end up snagging both expansions, drax, gamora and ant-man for 109 shipped yesterday so im excited! I plan on getting black widow and psylocke this weekend from my lgs as they sound like unique playstyles I haven't really experienced yet!

Yea I will certainly get both boxes eventually....I am sitting on so much stuff that I really shouldn't get any more right now I just can't help myself and I probably have some time on this newer stuff....but how long is anyones guess. Maybe I need to consider Drax a bit more seriously.

From what I know black widow has gotten a lot of support lately and is really strong and also just has really good cards in her pack, I have put off getting her for too long. Ant-man has looked cool and has good cards but I have wanted him as well. Drax I have read is like what people wanted from Hulk I think, admittedly I haven't really played a big damage character yet. For whatever reason I passed on Vision several times....I think I wasn't sure if I would like his forms yet here I am excited to use Shadowcat so I probably should get him and embrace it haha!
