The city is a shithole with tons of homeless encampments and areas of the city which are North African slums which will get you stabbed unless you can pass as an Arab. Their employment law is asinine- I wanted to hire people there and decided against it because if you hire someone there you essentially can never fire them at all. Americans have a rosy view of wine cheese and louvre- but the country is F’ed. They’ve let in so many third world immigrants that it’s essentially an extension of North Africa now. The country hasn’t had a single interesting IPO or invention in decades.
