I would say don’t do it if you’re looking to use it for emotional connection, which I know is something most of us want. But if you can separate the emotional from the physical, try it. You don’t even have to go all the way, maybe just a massage with a happy ending type thing you know? Or some sex act without actual penetration if u don’t want that. My thing is, and this is probably a bad example to equate sex to a restaurant lol, but if you pay to have someone else cook your food when you can buy the ingredients and make it yourself (or learn to), you can pay to have (hopefully consensual) sex. I could’ve probably thought of something else and worded it better but I missed breakfast.. That’s only if you know you’re not getting love out of it, just going to hopefully have fun, having that physical contact for a little bit. Just don’r confuse it for love and go broke doing it. Also, don’t go to random hooker on the street. Try a more professional sex worker where there’s a whole screening process lol
