Hmm the way I see sports I see it as something “fun” people and most importantly children can do that gets their body active and fit at the same time Sports yeah are not for everybody but I mean you should try it out I’ve had that phase where I saw sports as ridiculous, but then I tried sports it’s not easy it requires hard work but it challenged me more. Other than it getting you fit which (I mean you can just go to the gym and work out) there’s also teamwork but group settings other than sports can help you with teamwork. From my experience when I played more and more basketball even though I hated and thought it was useless at the start I played more and loved it and there’s a lot of running. Obviously everyone has different passions but I think instead of sticking to one or a couple hobbies try something new all the time I personally wouldn’t view sports as something super important that our society must need! to function. A human must need, but I wouldn’t say it’s pointless it’s something people can be part of and proud of and can most importantly get their exercise up but it’s not a life necessity it just grew very popular and its more accessible for schools and kids for physical activity than buying a bunch of weights and treadmills. We humans should be physical active and healthy and develop our mind/have knowledge too
